EPS duo disqualified for cheating

The Electronic Sports League (ESL) has announced that iPLAY and CPLAY have both been disqualified from the current EPS Germany season.

After Jerry "xelos" Råberg was caught cheating in one of the RaidCall EMS One cups, the talk about professional players using illegal programs is now back in the ESL, after two teams were disqualified from Germany's premier division.

The cheating incident involving iPLAY dates back to February 21st, when they defeated mousesports 16-13 on de_nuke_se. Gianluigi "nes" Zarrelli played a crucial role in that victory, amassing a total of 31 frags, but it was now discovered that there was something more to him than pure talent.

The other cheating issue is more recent as it took place on March 12th. Roland "constarr" Stengg was caught red-handed during CPLAY's 16-12 victory against SNOGARD Dragons on de_inferno_se. The demo of this match can be downloaded here.

Both players have been handed two-year bans from all ESL competitions, while iPLAY and CPLAY have been disqualified from EPS and will not be able to take part in the next season.

The current EPS season, whose LAN finals will be held in May, has now been reduced to 10 teams. You can follow our coverage of the league here.

The 2 above players are not German and there hasn't been a lot of cheaters in the German scene, not on pro(play4money) level nor on an amateur level. On the other side the Balkan scene in general (at least in 1.6) is full of online cheaters :) My main point, it's utter bullshit to try to generalize german scene as 'full of cheaters'

I don't know if he's cheating or not and i'm trying to stay neutral since I know the guy, but when you're actually motivated and stressed out you sometimes twitch, now don't get me wrong i'm not defending the guy but i'm just saying that alone would not be enough to ban someone in my experience as an admin, I will how ever take a look at the full demo later with the timetable and see if there's anything dodgy.

This is blatant aimbot, he fastly kill one guy outside the smoke and as soon as he die the aimbot start targetting the guy inside the smoke. Constarr instantly realize of the huge mistake and release the trigger so it stop shooting at him.

Well, i've watched his demos, and nothing organner like to see ...opposed to these 2 german morons. I've used organner for 1 month and therefore i kinda know how it looks like, if an aimer looks in or even fails. Nothing like that on dAy's demo ...maybe he had extremely legit settings.

The thing is that Germany is basically the only country who has it's own stable and big league with their own anti-cheat tool. That's why everyone always thinks that germans are the only cheaters. In other countries they just don't get busted because there is no staff who works on timetables and whatnot. Also, regularly people from Poland/France and other countries get banned in the ESL aswell. If the majority of every country would play in the ESL it would be pretty even I believe. :) By the way those guys were banned by admins once again. No cheat detection. There were funny videos around in the web about them tho, they both hacked pretty obvious so it's good.

Also, alot of people are cheating in ESL and ESEA with private aimbot+triggerbot+radar, Immunity users also pwn your butts and not to mention others who use hakz on major Lan tournaments (hint: n!)
