k1ck beat Anexis, VG over Infused

The first round of group matches at Mad Catz Birmingham has come to an end, with k1ck and VeryGames winning their respective matches.

Prior to the start of today's matches, it was expected that the second place of Group A could be decided after this first round, and k1ck have surely taken a giant step towards a good finish after moving past Sam "RattlesnK" Gawn's troops, who are playing with Josh "mole" Rowley as a stand-in.

The Portuguese side, however, got off to a very slow start, as Anexis strolled to an early 8-1 lead, inspired by Gawn, who won two 1-on-3 situations during the first half to keep his team battling for the three points.

k1ck then finally picked themselves up and fought back in the latter stages of the first half, winning several rounds in succession as they were down 9-6 at the break.

RattlesnK's side got off on the wrong foot in Birmingham

Parity was then restored after k1ck won the pistol round, but Anexis responded in the gun round to stop the Portuguese team's momentum. The British side would enlarge their lead by winning two more rounds, but then k1ck took control of the game and never took their foot back off the gas as they picked up three important points.

In the other group match, VeryGames edged past Infused, edging past the home side with 16-10 scoreline after a commanding display in the first half, which they won 12-3. The French side are now sitting at the top of Group A, level on points with k1ck, but with the advantage in terms of round difference.

keep calm , the didnt even practiced , but i am disppoited with their performance , i thought rattlesnk had a book strats , and they ct setup was really poor

nice clutches from rattlesnk , and nice play from mole , but fox outclassed them especially release on mid( he had bad luck)

relax,k1ck are always a team that can cause an upset,they have experienced players and practice with the best teams in the world,its not a shame things like this happens a lot and when you have a fox in your team :P

First day of playing with mole, so what? Yes yes mole was top frag and? Not even Anexis has high expectations for this event. They will take fourth place in my opinion, but let's see. They should be more on fire at the EMS One Finals next weekend.
