fnatic have announced that they have decided to skip the SLTV StarSeries finals next month.

The Danish team finished second in the league during the regular season, with 10 victories and three defeats, and were thus due to take on ESC Gaming in the first round of the LAN finals, which will take place from July 4th to 7th in Kiev.

However, fnatic have now confirmed that they will not be travelling to Kiev, citing the need to "find a consistent strategy for the future" after the RaidCall EMS One Finals this weekend, in Cologne.

The statement is a strong indication that fnatic may once again be undergoing roster changes. The Danish giants were last seen at DreamHack Summer, where they were sent packing in the group stage following two defeats to Lemondogs.

In the last-eight stage of the RC EMS One Finals, fnatic will have to clash with LDLC.com.

"I regret to confirm that the Fnatic CS:GO division will not be able to attend the upcoming StarSeries finals in Kiev, after a successful campaign in the online stage," a fnatic statement read.

"We are coming from an intense period, which at times has been quite rocky with many up and downs. With multiple offline events in our backs, we feel that we need to regroup our troops, and find out a consistent strategy for the future in terms of our team's structure, as well as in-game tactics.

"We appreciate that this is a late notice, but at the same time I would like to emphasize that the time frame between the online qualifier to the LAN finals is extremely short, something that puts a lot of pressure on the non Ukrainian teams.

"Finally we would like to send the best of luck to StarSeries and the attending teams for the Kiev finals - may the best team win!

This is the second team to pull out of the StarSeries finals, after /10/ also decided not to attend the event.

Contacted by HLTV.org, the StarSeries organisers have confirmed that Natus Vincere, who were sixth during the regular season, will replace fnatic in the tournament.

The matchups of the first round are now the following:

Ninjas in Pyjamas	vs.	Natus Vincere
ESC Gaming	vs.	Virtus.pro

Online match with not any single reason to play it. NiP was already qual. and Na'Vi out. Na'Vi won't take 10 rounds on both maps. Only Edward is a strong player atm.

Trace, Karrigan, Moddii and Friis still dislike CSGO, they feel unmotivated. Only reason they keep playing is to hold on CS, salary and travel because it has been their life for while now. Actually kinda same for Na'vi and ESC. Navi are famous in Ukraine, they make ton of money. ESC has been in professional level since 2006 and they can't stop. Neo thought with pracc could be LoL professional but getting to high tier team is unlikely specially if you are top/jungler like Neo is.

I do, but if you really think they play the game even tho they hate it, your retarded. One thing is saying that the game isnt perfect, still need some fixes here and there and it doesnt feel like 1.6 - And it doesnt. Other is playing a game while disliking it, which is utterly retarded. Fnatic players are unmotivated not because they "dislike" the game, they are unmotivated cause they suck at it in comparisson with their 1.6 level and they win literally nothing but 1 or 2 online matches, thats what makes them "unmotivated"

Same line of teams as last time. Hopefully Na'Vi and ESC are ready to put up a fight this time. Other than that, I heard that CPH Wolves are undergoing reconstructions, so maybe we will see a mash-up of fnatic and them, where we will probably see players such as trace retiring unfortunately. Xyp9x, device, dupreh, cajunb, Friis. MODDII and karrigan I can see returning to "their" scenes that is sweden and germany. Although all of this depends on both team's EMS performance, and also I think with more time, the current fnatic would really shine again. Roster changes would seem really rushed if done now - so maybe it's just going to be trace being replaced by a CPH Wolves player.
