StarSeries IX day 3 top performers

With SLTV StarSeries IX Finals in the books, we highlight Sunday's top performers with this post for today's matches.

SLTV StarSeries IX Finals were won by Natus Vincere, who overcame NiP in the grand finals without a dropping a map. Prior to that they defeated Titan and NiP, respectively, on Friday and Saturday.

The other match that took place on Sunday was the consolidation final. In it NiP split the first two maps with Titan, but then ran laps around the French-Belgians, claiming a spot in the grand final.

Today's leader board is, oddly enough, topped by the French duo of Nathan "NBK" Schmitt and Kenny "kennyS" Schrub. Schmitt was incredibly consistent, and got a kill, an assist or survived in 74.6% of their rounds in a loss.

Despite losing the series and getting devoured 3-16 on the final map, they were today's best players. Na`Vi duo Denis "seized" Kostin and Ioann "Edward" Sukhariev were most consistent.

Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom once again had the highest headshot percentage, while Schrub topped the AWPing statistics over his main competition, Na`Vi's Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács.

The graphic above shows how each player in Ninjas in Pyjamas contributed to their success in the consolidation final versus Titan. As you can see, the often criticized Robin "Fifflaren" Johansson had a great showing.

Johansson got a kill, an assist or survived 90% of NiP's won rounds, a mark 10% better than that of his teammates. Oddly enough, even in NiP's win, their superstars were the ones at the bottom when at least an assist is required.

For Natus Vincere the top performer was Kostin, whose performance at the event was unwavering as he finished with a 1.25 rating. He took part in 94% of his team's won rounds.

Meh i had a friend who would only headshot in 1.6, but now he quit, it was the same, he didn't like spraying, he would oneshot only. And since he didn't like any frags he made, although they were all awesome he didn't make any fragclips :P Most of the guys like that go unnoticed.

my friend was so good at the game, he had 100% HS rate and once, HE MISSED A HS. after that miss, he quit the game with his 99% HS rate and never came back

Yeah super impressive to have 80% hs.. when he isn't even in top3 in total headshots, frags or any of the other stats. Super amazing.

I think his aiming for HS only is a bad thing. It slows him down and prevents him from making fast frag just by spraying.

60% of NBK HS is pretty good too ... But 80,5 % is sincerely INSANE, i dont understand how he can do this; sometimes the bot itself programmed to aim only at the head can not do that ... SICK

because he try always HS kill. and he was killed often by enemies with low hp. if he has 80% hs ratio with great kill ratio, its insane. 10kill 100dead with 100%HS whoever think he is the best? none

going for hs kills only can be a bit of a problem, thats true. now scream had a great showing yesterday, but not today. he is a great player, but his hs ratio is nothing more than worth a side note. its just not important after all.

scream has extremely high HS ratio. he always try only HS kill. but it is not difficult. Getting high kill ratio is difficult. NBK>>>>>>>>Scream Go hsmod server.

oh let me play against nip, and i promise you i will get a 100% hs rate. i will use a scout, and i will try to hs anybody until i get a hs. bound to happen sooner or later in 16 rounds even tho im shit. afterwards ill go afk and have an ez 100% hs ratio. so basically hs ratio is a good for nothing stat. its interesting for when ur really trying to break down a game, but nothing more.

I just wanted to point out that in that case you wouldn't find yourself on this list cause I only put players who have above-average headshots per round. :) For comparison's sake ScreaM had 0.57 headshots per round at this tournament, while Ex6TenZ and TaZ had less kills (headshot or not) per round than that. SmithZz had 0.58 kills per round. So it's not just hs% with ScreaM, he gets a lot of them and that can often be useful when it's quick kills without getting damaged back.

ye i know but as our japanese friend stated above it also has disadvantages when fighting against low hp opponents. in the time of screams say 3 one taps he needs to find the hs get right can fire his 7-8 bullets he needs to spray that guy down ez. its a nice stat and its interesting, but it doesnt affect the overall player rating at all.

let's wait and see how na`vi will perform outside SLTV... They were close to beat NiP during SLTV VI Finals (they lost cuz of last map being nuke), everyone was praising them & then they went to Prague Challenge and lost to OverDrive's mix. Lol.

i would like to say that some of these stas are pointless ... lets say this one : 1. Edward - success in entry duels 66.7 % ...As far as I know he almost never goes for entry frag

Well, he did go for entry frags at this event. Overall it was 34 times and he got 23 of them, so it's far from pointless, he was actually the best entry killer of the tournament. And same as I said above about headshots, I didn't include players who don't have above average amount of entry kills to the % column, so none of the stats there are pointless.

the perfect layer knows how to aim and spray and scream shoots crazy but sometimes especally on small maps like nuke u need to spray a bit if u get rushed are u gonna aim also XD
