ESC Gaming win Cracow Game Spot

ESC Gaming won the 2014 edition of Cracow Game Spot following a 2-1 victory over ALSEN in the final.

While the majority of community's attention last weekend was turned to London, where Gfinity 3 was taking place, the Polish city of Cracow was hosting its own event at a local university.

With 12 teams in attendance, the event organisers went for a rather peculiar format: a traditional group system, followed by a GSL group system and then the single-elimination playoffs with the remaining four teams.

In the semi-final stage, ESC Gaming moved past HyperShots with a 2-1 scoreline, while ALSEN edged out 31337 eSports 2-0.

With Virtus.pro out of the picture, this was without a doubt the most thrilling final that Polish fans could hope for. ALSEN claimed bragging rights first, picking up a 16-7 victory on de_mirage, but then ESC replied and turned the deficit around following 16-5 and 16-9 wins on de_inferno and de_nuke.

I guess there is some mistakes in what concerns the prize pool.. Source : gamesboard.pl/cracow-game-spot-2014-csgo.. It's 2500 PLN = 600 euros approx 1st.. 2nd & 3rd also mistaken..
