Virtus.pro thrash iBUYPOWER

iBUYPOWER have been sent packing following a 2-16 defeat at the hands of Virtus.pro on de_cache.

Starting off on the less-favored Terrorist side, iBUYPOWER opted for a slow approach during the pistol round, trying to pick off one opponent by surprise before deciding which way to go. They ultimately went for A, but some good defensive work from Virtus.pro saw the Polish side retake the site with ease.

After planting the bomb in the first eco round, iBP went for a buy in the third round, but despite Keven "⁠AZK⁠" Lariviere picking up a triple kill they still could not break through Virtus.pro’s defense.

The fifth round saw iBP become one man down just a few seconds into action following a great peek from Wiktor "⁠TaZ⁠" Wojtas. The North American still tried to work with that they had, but they were once again outplayed by their opponents.

Janusz "⁠Snax⁠" Pogorzelski then took plaudits for two great rounds: in the first one he won a 1-on-2 situation in A, while the second one he played aggressively, which resulted in him taking down two players from behind and severely damaging Braxton "⁠swag⁠" Pierce.

iBP then found a bit of a breathing room as they picked up their first round after finding themselves 5 against 3 early on, but Virtus.pro did not allow their opponents to build any momentum and immediately regained control of the match, which really hurt the American team’s economy.

Until half-time, Virtus.pro remained in the driving seat and won all rounds except one, where iBP found themselves 5 against 2 before attacking the B bombsite but still surprisingly managed to lose four players while defending the bomb, which clearly showed their mental block.

In the second half, Virtus.pro further enlarged their lead by winning the pistol round with a textbook A rush. iBP still tried to surprise their opponents and bought shotguns, but without success, as the Polish side ran out 16-2 winners, with Snax sealing the victory with a knife kill that left TaZ fuming.

It's impossible to win versus VP on Cache/Mirage. iBP were dumb not to VETO Cache.

Ibuypower have consistently performed bad in Europe. There is a reason g3 is the only tourney they've made it out of groups. Even then they got eliminated first game of playoffs. I'm not basing this off of one game, i'm basing off of their performances since they came to Europe and before that.

It wasn't a single bo1. They lost vs Fnatic as well. They had to beat one of the two better teams in the group to advance. They didn't beat either of them.

iBP should've taken a leaf out of mouzsports playbook. Mouz took down Virtus.Pro in g3 with a well executed A push. I wish iBP would've tried it more than once.

If that's the case, then how come TaZ got mad at Snax? Why did Shox get mad at fxy0? Read about what Shox said in the interview about the knife kill. This can be defined as a sport, hence why sportsmanship should be included. I sincerely doubt that Snax, as he pulled his knife, yelled; This if for ESEA! You are all garbage!
