Celebrating FACEIT's venture into Oceania, a $1,000 winner-takes-all invitational will take place on Sunday, December 14th with four Australian teams.

Today FACEIT announced that they've opened 44 servers in Melbourne and Sydney for their matchmaking and league system for players all across Oceania.

That implies the British company could become more invested in the region, whose Vox Eminor took part in two majors, EMS One Katowice and ESL One Cologne, as well as DreamHack Winter 2013's BYOC qualifier and MSI Beat It! Grand Finals.

To celebrate the venture, FACEIT will hold a $1,000 tournament for four invited teams from Australia, including Immunity, Athletico, Aftershock and Originals on December 14th. Vox Eminor declined to participate due to personal reasons.

The tournament kicks off at 09:00 , the matches will be streamed by FACEIT's Daniel "ddk" Kapadia on their official stream, which will pop up in the stream section once it goes live.

Try connecting through console (close the game, start it via Steam, copy the IP into console) as stated in the game room.

You need to start the client from steam and then connect (either through IP or through the button). That fixes it.

Hi All, We (Vox Eminor) were invited but had to decline as TopguN recently got married and has only returned back from his honeymoon in the past few days. AZR is also moving interstate very soon. These combined + the fact we are on 'holiday period' felt best to sit this one out. We believe there will be many tournaments coming up for us very soon so we need to take time out when we can. It's awesome, been loving playing on Faceit, but there are certainly a few server bugs at the moment. Currently the most noticeable one for some players are frame-rate drops, personally I haven't experienced this yet, but everyone I have spoken to has noticed that enemies tend to die and "spin 180" when they die. It's really bizarre to see. kill an enemy in the back and his player model spins to face you as he dies lol. Otherwise really liking the new servers , thank you faceit!
