AZK joins Tempo Gaming as coach

Tempo Gaming have announced that former iBUYPOWER member Keven "AZK" Larivière has been hired to coach their CS:GO team.

Keven "⁠AZK⁠" Lariviere has been out of action since the start of the year after it was revealed that he and three iBP teammates of his were implicated in a betting scandal that saw them lose an online match on purpose to profit from the sale of weapon skins.

He has now agreed to join Tempo Gaming as a full-time coach and analyst to help the team improve their game as they look to secure promotion from ESEA Premier and CEVO Main.

AZK to coach Tempo Gaming

The Canadian will thus follow in the footsteps of former iBP teammate Braxton "⁠swag⁠" Pierce, who joined Cloud9 as an analyst last month.

Tempo Gaming, who sit third in CEVO Main, on a 3-0 record, have the following lineup:

Michael "Uber" Stapells

pretty sure he didn't just have his 'pick of the litter' rofl most orgs don't just have big cash laying around. if azk wanted to be a coach and get paid for it, i doubt there were more than 5 or so organizations for him to choose from (due to the matchfixing ban and the general state of american CS)

Ever since the knee jerk reaction and poorly handled banning, I felt that these players could and should give back to the NA CSGO community (primarily because the NA scene needs it). I'm glad to see Swag and AZK afforded these opportunities. It'll benefit them immensely when they eventually return to the scene as players. Dazed and Steel are also doing so in their own ways via streams, videos, and rumored coaching. Their actions were inappropriate yet forgivable. Their knowledge and experience are things NA teams can benefit from, both good and bad. I'm glad their enduring in the CSGO scene.
