RGN Freedom! Cup groups drawn

The RGN Freedom! Cup, run in association Youtube network Freedom.tm, has seen its groups drawn for the $5,000 online tournament.

With the RGN Freedom! Cup qualifiers concluding in early September, all that remained to be released was a group draw and format for the $5,000 online tournament.

The format will feature four groups with four teams each, playing each other in best-of-one matches in a round robin format. The top two teams from each group then advance to a double elimination bracket in a best-of-three match configuration.

ryx and Conquest are drawn into Group A alongside CLG, Mythic, and ACE Gaming

As far as teams go, FolloweSports.com will be replacing Nexus in the team list due to the latter team encountering roster issues. The official group draw for the RGN Freedom! Cup is as follows:

As a reminder, the prize distribution for the tournament is:

from what I've seen on esea, it's akis and rooroo (the 2 guys on the last alive eLevate lineup), stewie2k the 10 man god, slemmy another longtime player, and professor_chaos (ex nihilum, retired for a bit)

Probably they are very famous for the NA tournaments, never play, arrogance 10/10

Or they are overseas playing in big tourneys. But a BR wouldn't know about that would he :)

I wouldn't say they are arrogant. It takes a lot of money/time/effort to travel and live in a hotel for a LAN. It also helps build a brand if you aren't associated with low-level events. The princes of England wouldn't endorse a casino or something cheap like that. Their power comes from their marketing.

Why would C9 play this online tournament for 5k? There's no point in playing an online 5k tournament when they can take the time to relax and literally anything else.
