iBP Invitational Cup teams announced

The eight teams taking part in the $100,000 iBUYPOWER CS:GO Invitational Cup on November 14-15 have now been announced.

Last week saw the announcement of the $100,000 iBUYPOWER CS:GO Invitational Cup, which would run on November 14-15 and give eight teams in the North American region a shot at winning the bulk of the prize-pool ($65,000 for first place).

Taking place at the eSports Arena in Santa Ana, California in conjunction with iBUYPOWER's "eSports Day," the iBUYPOWER Invitational Cup will be a partnership with ESL and see the eight teams duel it out in a double elimination bracket.

FugLy's Liquid are one of the eight teams invited to the iBP Cup

The computer-retailer has now announced the teams invited to compete in the event, which are:

United States Cloud9 United States CLG
Brazil Luminosity Australia Renegades
United States Team Liquid United States Winterfox
Canada Conquest United States compLexity

Tickets for both days of the event are already sold out, however the action will be viewable over at twitch.tv/iBUYPOWER.

Spunj is pretty underrated though, sometimes he anchors but sometimes he fucking carries like he did against Titan. If he learns to be more consistent he could be both a good igl and a good fragger.

Spunj is a very likeable character but definately not in the top 2 of Renegades... AZR has some of the most explosive plays and godlike aim and JKS is an allround amazing player. I love Spunj and like any player/pro he will have crazy carry games, but tbh more upsets than hard carries

Okay let's be honest both teams have shown good things (RNG a few months ago on LAN, LG at the major) and I agree with you in the sense that LG look stronger but it all comes down to form on the day, no way to tell untill we see RNG vs. LG ;) However RNG > CLG until we see CLG get revenge and beat them.

YOU LOST TO LIQUID ON LAN. The lan chokers, on LAN. Liquid. On LAN. And you lost to a British team on LAN. You lost to your autistic cousin with no scene at a LAN. LG is 20 times better than RNG. CLG won't lose to you shitters again. One bo1 =/= better than a team. RNG beat CLG on one map, in a close margin, on RNG's best map.

There is so much money on the line, I think this last spot should be decided on a 'qualifier' between coL, 3sup, ex-Elevate, GA and FE. Would be fair and very random in my opinion.

I don't see renegades beating C9, Liquid, Luminosity and CLG outright and I judging by the form they were in at the qualifier, I don't think they will be able to beat conquest or complexity either

They were 3 rounds away from winning their first bo3 against liquid so it was pretty close the first time round, also they are a very emotional and momentum based team so it all comes down to the day. I agree with you in the sense that they won't do well in their current form, but I can see them beating any team at this LAN (probably excluding c9 though) if they can shape up before hand and get some momentum going. So yeah I believe in them pulling a possible second or third place.

Col yes, conquest maybe, but not easy, LG I think they would lose to, but it isn't a one sided match. I definitely think they are probably the 5th or 6th best and almost certainly won't get shut out unless both col and winterfox are in a different group. They are definitely a good team to have at the tournament. Idk about winterfox and col though.

Why Renegades and not GA? Why would you cover the flight costs of bad players when you can get some pretty decent players coming from the same place as LG?

Where is GA? Why they invited Renegades and WinterFox? GA is better than both.

-C9 and LG are favorites -Liquid showed a strong team and good results individually, are at the same level of LG and C9 -CLG started the season very strong, won the WinOut, but are now adding very bad results, they have ability to upset the top 3 teams, but are unlikely to do this twice in a row. -Renegade arrives at NA scenario with a certain hype team at the level of CLG, I dont see them as strong individually, but surely they have the capacity to evolve in rest of season -Conquest is strong individually but is inconsistent more than the rest of the other teams, maybe they can upset teams like LG/CLG/REN, but they have no chance of being champions for me the favoritism order for this tournament is: 1.Cloud9 2.Luminosity 3.Liquid 4.CLG 5.REN 6.Conquest 7.coL (if they did not disband until the championship) 8.Winterfox (if they did not disband until the championship)

I honestly think Liquid can take this. They beat LG 2 times, they beat CLG 2 times, and those matches were recent. The only problem for them is c9. And to be honest I don't think c9 doing that good ATM. This is going to be a good tournament well finally get to who's in the top 3 in NA

To any Brazilian who tries to say right now LG are as good as TL or C9 just stop. They are in a slump and are capable of beating them but have yet to show that they can in the past few weeks.

Conquest could pull off the upsets, but only if they fix their decision making after having taken 4-5 round leads. They always seem to start doing retarded shit after taking those leads. Otherwise, they can go toe to toe with any of these teams.

CLG or Liquids chance to go to IEM as well. Although coL and Conquest are doing good as well. Maybe Renegades will pull some straight out Aussie Cowboy shit.
