CS:GO confirmed at IEM Oakland

ESL has announced on its website that the first IEM Season 11 event to feature CS:GO will be the stop in Oakland.

After being featured at Season 10's stop in San Jose, Counter-Strike returns to California for another event, this time in Oakland, from November 19-20.

The Oracle Arena, home of the NBA team Golden State Warriors, has been chosen to host the event, which will also feature a League of Legends tournament.

This is the second stop confirmed for IEM Season 11, which will offer a record $1 million prize pool. The circuit will begin with an event at Shanghai's ChinaJoy Expo, from July 28-31, where only Starcraft II will be played.

Tickets to IEM Oakland will go on sale on May 23, with an early bird option running until July 1. Fans wishing to attend the event can purchase a general admission ticket, a premium ticket or a group ticket for five people.

And yes, I support WESA to stop this mess and chaos under which the industry suffers atm. Don't understand me wrong. All leagues (not only teams) should be considered being a member or part of WESA. One side says that other leagues have been asked. The other side says that they haven't been asked. So no one knows who has been asked and who not. Therefore, there is no proof that ESL was acting wrong. And if I am talking about the WESA often...so? My choice and you don't have to take it into account.

The success of a tournament held by esl has nothing to do with the success of a power grab made by the same company, you obviously work for wesa or turtle rock in some way or you would not make yourself look so dumb and ignorant. The way things are now is perfect and drives competition, the only problem with it is that the team owners choose what tournaments the players play in and they have no say, the only thing that needs to happen is the players need more say in things, not some fucking exclusive league ran by one company, if you think that is what this industry needs you're a fucking retard. Why would any league choose to be part of an organisation in which they would be under the control of their competition, it is completely absurd. The way wesa is set up is made so esl has a majority say in all decisions since they have two delegates to any other leagues one and they also choose the person who makes the final decision. Sounds like a retarded thing to do if you run a competitive business, you have obviously not done much research on this and because of that this conversation is over.

If you participate with your team or your organisation in the ESL, you also have to do that according the rules of the ESL. There is no big difference. And please, don't make it sound that I'm talking with a monkey since you offend and start insulting and you obviously show your lack of being able to lead a discussion on a high level. I don't work for WESA, I just like the idea. At the moment the industry has no sustainability. One reason is because the behaviour of many organisations towards players is awful. I can count on the fingers of one hand organisations who are acting the way it should be. Further, schedules are stupid and this is very dangerous. If you want a well organised industry, you can't let everyone who has a few bucks offer a league where organisation are thinking about to participate in at the expense of quality. And yeah, this discussion with a monkey (you) is definitely over.
