An online tournament for the Asian region called MRCAT Invitational has been announced, with a $25,000 prize pool and some of the best regional teams in attendance.

The MRCAT Invitational announcement comes after some impressive performances by the Asian teams at SL-i League StarSeries Season 2 LAN finals, and will feature 16 of the best teams from the region - including TYLOO and VG.CyberZen.

Tyloo are one of the favorites for the tournament

The action will kick off on the 16th of September with the group stage that will be played in a BO1 round robin format. After that, two teams from each group will proceed to the double elimination best-of-three playoffs.

Groups are as follows:

A winner will be crowned after the grand final which will be played as a best-of-five match.

The prize pool will be distributed in the following way:

1. - $15,000
2. - $7,500
3. - $2,500
