hazed departs CLG

CLG have announced the departure of one of their core members James "hazed" Cobb, who had been part of the organization for nearly two years.

James "⁠hazed⁠" Cobb joined CLG in January 2015, when the organization ventured into CS:GO by acquiring mouseSpaz, a then up-and-coming lineup.

In his two years with the American organization, the 27-year-old attended all five Majors and garnered a few respectable results, such as a semi-finals finish at ESL ESEA Pro League Season 1 Finals, fourth place at the Game Show Global eSports Cup and 5th-8th at MLG Columbus.

hazed's last tournament with CLG was the ELEAGUE Major Main Qualifier

In the last few months, CLG's new roster failed to qualify for several tournaments, including ELEAGUE Season 2, ESL One New York, WESG, Pro League Season 4 Finals and most recently the ELEAGUE Major, as they finished the offline qualifier with a 1-3 record.

"The future at the moment is unclear for me. I'm going to really push myself in the coming months to see if I can improve." hazed said in a statement on CLG's website.

"If I can't improve my own personal skills and my value as an aspiring IGL isn't in demand, I will move on. During this time, I'll entertain offers from other teams, start full time streaming and even consider potential analyst/caster positions."

With hazed departing the team, only captain Stephen "⁠reltuC⁠" Cutler remains from the original lineup. CLG now have the following four players:

A change of scenery will be good for Hazed. Even though CLG were quite shit for much of his IGL reign, they showed signs significant improvement near the end of EPL/ESEA. He'll be fine if he works on his tilting problem... he's definitely skilled enough.

TSM will only work if they get Sean back, he has insane experience to help the youngsters develop. hazed is good but I don't see TSM getting better with him.

hazed is a very good rifler. Top NA rifler imo. People forget when tarik was in that sinking CLG ship, he was shit too (at least during the later half of his time there). I think a new team could do hazed some good. The question is: Who really needs a player like him right now?
