HLTV.org's Radosław "MAKKU" Makuch put together a video compilation with Markus "Kjaerbye" Kjærbye's best actions at the ELEAGUE Major where he got the HLTV MVP by ZOWIE award.

Astralis were crowned the tenth CS:GO Major champions in Atlanta after they beat Virtus.pro 2-1 in the grand final, taking home $500,000 and retaining their #1 spot in the rankings.

Markus "⁠Kjaerbye⁠" Kjærbye earned the HLTV MVP by ZOWIE award thanks to his 1.16 rating (2.0) throughout the event. His performance was consistent and the 18-year-old stepped up in the grand final, posting a 73:54 score and a 1.22 rating. Despite winning the MVP, the youngster didn't have many highlights as his contribution was spread out throughout different rounds.

The best payer in the best team, thats true yeah. He wasn't the best in the whole tourney though. I agree that most of the time the MVP award goes to someone from the winning team, but not always. I thought MVP was short for "most valuable player", not "possibly best player on the winning team in the final". That's a lot of qualifying you need to do to justify giving kjærbye the nod. Xyp9x had more important clutches, device had an overall better tournament, snax had the best tournament of all but no one in the world could carry that team hard enough... Am disappoint, hltv. You're the biggest site covering CSGO, so your story becomes the "official" one. Better get it right!

It's not like he wasn't playing good before the final! He was solid troughout and in very important matches. Maybe wasn't fragging as much as device or someone else, but his performance was always very good and amazing in the final. Deserved MvP for me!
