VP take down mouz in Vegas

Starting out on Train the free flowing MOUZ got off to a tremendous economic advantage on the T-side after a straight forward Glock train into B-site and lost very few men in the ensuing rounds, Virtus.pro trying their best to catch up to the 6-2 lead that the European mixture had.

Though low on money, but with double AWP's saved, the Polish veterans made the most of a sketchy situation as captain Wiktor "⁠TaZ⁠" Wojtas took the fight to Nikola "⁠NiKo⁠" Kovač's squad with a Mag-7 for a triple kill to bring the Major finalists back in contention as they got the bead on the attacks and took the lead by the end of the first half 8-7.

VP rode off on the second half with their own signature T-pistol strat by splitting the bomb train on A to overwhelm the defenses swiftly and set the pace off the game from there on out, as the MOUZ CT-setups were constantly picked apart. Filip "⁠NEO⁠" Kubski and co. closed out the map 16-8.

Going into Mirage, pure chaos were the order of the day for the first seven rounds as the Poles ran another B-rush to take their T-pistol, but force buy after force buy kept each team and their money on the edge, NiKo getting opening picks with his trusty Deagle and his team retook A cleanly in the first proper rifle buy to finally take the lead 5-4.

The Polish side used the round time to put a lot of pressure on the CT-economy by entrying on to the sites, but Tomáš "⁠oskar⁠" Šťastný's team trusted in their setups to retake and NiKo closed out the half with a sublime quad kill to put his team on a 9-6 lead. Virtus.pro got another pistol round in the bag and equalized the score.

The Bosnian playmaker did great on the first gun round to pull apart the Polish defense with an infiltration in the window, but Paweł "⁠byali⁠" Bieliński had faith in the eco shenanigans again as he charged into palace with a P250 to seize an AK and dismantled the A-push early and spurred his team on to a 13-10 lead, forcing a tactical timeout from MOUZ.

Winning one round, but duly getting reset looked to be the nail in the coffin for mouz and Janusz "⁠Snax⁠" Pogorzelski almost did what he does best in a 1v3 in an AWP retake scenario, but Christian "⁠loWel⁠" Garcia Antoran survived the scare. A series of nail-biting exchanges with timing almost got them into an overtime scenario, but NEO engaged his spider-sense to shoot two players through smokes and closed out the map for VP 16-14.

Key Moment: Paweł "⁠byali⁠" Bieliński was the man behind a crushing reset for MOUZ in the 20th round on Mirage, MOUZ had just won their first gun round leading 10-9.
byali rushed towards palace and took out NiKo with a close quarters P250 one-click, picked up his AK and killed the bomb carrier towards tetris. This maneuver disrupted the T's early and won his team the round, which boosted the CT economy early in the second half, giving the Poles the necessary tools to set up their defenses and left all but no room for error for the European mix in the remaning rounds.

PotM: Janusz "⁠Snax⁠" Pogorzelski did not fail to deliver high impact once again on both maps. The Polish wizard got at least one kill in 78% of the rounds that his team won, pointing towards efficient trading (VP won 25/31 rounds when he got a kill). Add to that nine opening kills and a top-fragging performance.
