KerchNET win ASUS Open Winter
1-3-2009 20:53
ASUS Open Winter 2009 took place this weekend in the city of Moscow, Russia – KerchNET grabbed the gold.
The tournament is normally a mixture of Russian, Ukrainian and other Eastern European teams, this time with no exception. The Russian pride Virtus.pro should not go far in this tournament though; the team went out in the first round, when losing against k23 from Kazakhstan.
Stealing the spotlight instead was Ukrainian team KerchNET. The team went all the way to the final, after eliminating pro100, FragBox and k23. Waiting in the final was PinCho. PinCho did however not stand a chance against the Ukrainian team, losing two maps in a row, giving KerchNET the victory.
