HLTV.org in for eSports Awards

The results of the public poll for Best eSports Coverage Website have been released and we at HLTV.org are proud to confirm we are among the top ten.

Unlike the previous years, the community could solely vote for the website they wanted to see in the ten final nominees.

The public poll was closed on July 5 and now the ESL academy will proceed to choose the website that has excelled in eSports coverage for the past year.

We are extremely proud to confirm that HLTV.org was voted the best English-speaking eSports website, and the fifth-best website overall.

The results of the public poll are the following:

02. VaKarM (9,4%)
03. Replays.Net (7,3%)
04. against All authority (5,2%)
05. HLTV.org (4,8%)
06. ProPlay (4,7%)
07. Fragster (4,6%)

10. CSHU (4,3%)

We would like to thank the community for this amazing result and ensure you that we will strive to do more and better eSports coverage here, at HLTV.org.

Ever since Midway and then a few more guys left the site has gone to crap. They don't update anything like they use too, and they are always late on news they decide to cover.

Haha they would have gotten a higher rank if they announced the competition on the site just like HLTV and everyone else did. I mean, SK-gaming 9th? And pages like vakarm and aAa sure isn't near doing good coverages. It's all about how much you whore for the votes.

Whore or not, then SK should have gotten far more? I still want to stress that I don't see fragbite delivering the content/coverage we use to see, gotten so sloppy the last 12months.

I agree fragbite's standard is lower than usual, but my comment was ment to say that this voting is more "who can make the visitors to vote for my site" competition rather than coverage competition.

To be perfectly honest, I don't care who will win the award. We just thought it was time to add us to the nominees list and see where it would take us. To get into the top10 (posting one newspost) is to me, a sign that we are doing something that the community appreciate.

because germany has such big population... Thats why they and China got such mount of votes :) big country, MASS of votes :)) Thats why denmark failed with voting, only 3 - 4 procent of denmark is playing cs and mayb 2 procent is on xplayn... So its a little unfair :/ And SK-Gaming got votes from others country aswell because of there reputation of the clan :) Sweden has not as many people as denmark, i think that denmark is a little more populatet then sweden :) It is the largest country that wins this Awards :)

Denmark's population: 5,511,451 Sweden's population: 9,263,872 (Source: Wikipedia.org) But agreed on the other part though.. (: I don't like readmore because they steal demos more than they're given them, except for the German PoV's the most (As what i know)

esport award! i dreams hltv isnt in gold , because Why lot of POV of norway is in france but they looose 2/1 and just mSx vs norway! i know why , lot of people dont like french people , and hltv too !

We can only get POV demos by asking the players, and sometimes they will not share them, haven't recorded or we simply cannot get in touch with them.. We have no bias towards any countries.. :)
