CR4ZY take down INTZ to reach DreamHack Open Atlanta playoffs

CR4ZY close out day one of DreamHack Masters Atlanta with a 16-12 victory over INTZ in the Group B winners’ match to secure a spot in the semi-finals.

The DreamHack Open Rotterdam champions, who are attending the event with Thomas "⁠Thomas⁠" Utting as a stand-in, opened up the best-of-one clash match with a clean retake on the B bombsite of Train, and from there managed to claim a shockingly easy 7-0 lead.

It then seemed that Marcelo "⁠chelo⁠" Cespedes had finally had enough as he stormed past the defense of CR4ZY and single-handedly took down three CT’s to secure INTZ their first round of the game. The Brazilians would not be able to halt CR4ZY's momentum, however, as they were limited to just four rounds in this one-sided half.

CR4ZY seemed set to close out the game as Georgi "⁠SHiPZ⁠" Grigorov opened up their offensive side with a flank that resulted in a triple kill. However, once INTZ got rifles into their hands, the pace of the game began to change. Out of nowhere, everyone on the Brazilian team began to fire on all cylinders thanks to a seemingly impenetrable defensive hold on both sides of the map. Gustavo "⁠yel⁠" Knittel's troops began to chip away at the deficit, but a disastrous hold in the 28th round ended their comeback efforts.
