Vitriolic respond to Alchemists

Vitriolic have issued a statement to counteract Alchemists' story.

HLTV.org reported on Tuesday that Vitriolic's Norwegian team had been released from the organisation following the arrival of the ex-WICKED squad, having returned to their former home, Alchemists.

Unhappy with their sacking, Tommy "tacky" Mosegaard lashed out at Vitriolic, whom he said that had promised the team a "second chance" and the opportunity to compete in KODE5 Norway.

Mosegaard explained no-one in the team knew why they had been released and added they had to leave without any explanation from Vitriolic's part.

Vitriolic representative Felix Morgan has now issued a statement, which indicates that the Norwegian team were released due to their instability and "lack of maturity."

A press statement read, "A few weeks ago we were informed that our Norwegian Counter-Strike squad was intending to change once again, with REAL and enoksen were both intending to quit. This was unacceptable behavious in one of our sponsor's eyes, so we decided to send them to one more event (Kode5 Norwegian qualifiers) and evaluate their position in the org afterwards.

"However, upon announcing the addition of ex-Wicked to our organisation, we were informed there would be yet another change. There were conflicting statements made by various members of the team on Catch Gamer, which basically meant all the players were trying to pin the blame on each other for lack of practice, and admitted to trying to deceive the management. This showed a distinct lack of maturity on their part, and did not match the Vitriolic ethos. This was the final straw, and led us to release them with immediate effect, so as to prevent more harm being done to the Vitriolic name.

"Up until their removal we had every intention to send them to Kode5, and our position only changed after the final roster changes and inappropriate forum posts. At no point has Nordy lied to anyone involved, and there is no basis for that claim.

"We wish them the best of luck in Alchemists, and thank them for their time in Vitriolic."

Vitriolic's last LAN appearance was at GameGune 2009, where they did not go beyond the group stage.

Good decision by Vitriolic's managment. The Norwegian scene is no longer serious as it used to be long time ago, and I really think that there's no hope for thise scene without their old stars. The new talents of norway aren't both good or serious enough to success in the international scene - can't see this happening.

Norweigan cs-players are always immature, both on lan and online, so I guess it's much of a surprise that they dont want to keep them

We are talking about professional teams and players.. not public nonamers. And your "top" players aren't professional at all, as people said here - mature. Compare your players to SK fnatic H2k MYM , even wooSai ... you can't really do it.

Neither are MYM or wooSai, though I don't think he does mean professional literally, I think he means the players on an elite level. :)

Sad news but also a great decision from Vitriolic. Not only would ex-WICKED make a far better CS team but they are also a more mature, dedicated, and focused CS team. :) Good luck to Vitriolic in their future endeavors! :D

yup good decision in my opinion ex wicked is a great team and they dont have room in an org like that for immaturity or lack of effort. now they have a great team and can make their name respectable.

Good desicion by Vitriolic, and perfectly understandable. Getting a good organization isn't easy, so they should have shown more dedication and maturity when they had the chance. They blew their opportunity really.

stupid move...i would've did anything to keep REAL, m1kkis was the only one on vtL that even came close to REALS skill...no REAL, no good team from norway..to late for them to start rebuilding the scene in norway...don't know how much longer cs will be around sadly.. but anyway gl..AND DON"T QUIT REAL PLEASE!!! You're still a top 5 rifler and top ten player, if not higher...

You're clearly one of the REAL-fanboys, fool. I would easily rate tacky and kalle over REAL nowadays.

It's without doubt true what people are saying that the Norwegian counter-strike scene has been decreased the last years. One of the key factors today is that no clans are really dedicated and full of ambition. But saying that Norwegian players are "not as good as they used to be" is not true. Mikkis and REAL aren't the only semi-elite players we have, and for instance, mikkis' reputation offline isn't as great as it is online... People also have to give up the whole "REAL"-thing, REAL cannot make a clan great alone. And of course, this is just a sad mark in Norwegian counter-strike history seeing they were seeded as #1 in Norway. Vitriolic is possibly a sponsor only Norwegian teams can dream about - and they blew it.

Well, it is a shame that alchemists lost their sponsors, and two very skilled players, but in the way I see it is this a gain for the squad. If it is true that REAL/enoksen was stopping the team from practising then it`s most likely best that they now got 5 players that actually can practise. Vertigo and zEn is solid players and I think that all of the 5 players in alchemists got time enough to put down in front of the computer and practise to improve as a team.

Honestly I don't know who to believe about the whole situation since there are conflict statements all over the place FROM both sides (the ex-players and management alike)
