meyern joins 9z

9z have completed the signing of Ignacio "⁠meyern⁠" Meyer from MIBR, the Argentinian organisation has announced.

The 17-year-old was acquired on a permanent basis from MIBR to replace Alexandre "⁠xand⁠" Zizi, who had been on 9z's books since February.

meyern will be hoping to use this opportunity to kick-start his career after becoming frozen out in MIBR. He was unable to replicate his previous form while with the Brazilian giants and ended up being moved to the bench just six months into his contract as the team picked up Alencar "⁠trk⁠" Rossato.

meyern will continue his career in 9z

In a Twitter post, the Argentinian youngster spoke of his excitement at embarking upon a new chapter in his career, saying that "a new era begins". In the South American squad, he will reunite with his former Isurus teammate Maximiliano "⁠max⁠" Gonzalez, with whom he attended DreamHack Masters Dallas 2019.

With this change, 9z now have:

Mira wachin, estuvo dos meses parado sin jugar, te pensás que fue porque el quiso? por mas que vos o todo el mundo piense que los equipos tier 1/2 o lo que sea lo iban a ir a buscar, el único que sabe las ofertas que le llegaron es el, y si eligió irse a 9z tendrá sus razones, no es tan complicado de entender. Lo de jugar gratis o esperar medio año es una gilada, meyern pertenecía a Mibr y por mas que quiera si un equipo no venía a poner la plata para llevárselo iba a seguir ahí estancado en el banco. La única opción concreta que se conoció era jugar en préstamo en Team One, y la verdad entre eso e ir a 9z lo banco a full con la decisión.
