The overhaul comes just weeks after the squad failed to qualify for the Stockholm Major.

Evgenii "⁠FL1T⁠" Lebedev and Almaz "⁠almazer⁠" Asadullin have today been removed from FORZE's active roster, it was announced via Twitter, the former being moved to inactive status and the latter listed for transfer. The announcement stated that coach Anatoliy "⁠liTTle⁠" Yashin would also be leaving the team.

The news comes off the back of a mixed year for the Russian squad, who have seen highs such as winning Spring Sweet Spring back in May and their unexpected ESL Pro League showing, but they recently failed to qualify for the Stockholm Major in disappointing fashion, winning a single game at IEM Fall CIS.

FL1T is reported to be landing at Virtus.pro

It has been reported by former pro and CIS insider Aleksei "⁠OverDrive⁠" Birukov that FL1T will be moving to Virtus.pro, presumably once the Major has concluded, likely in place of much maligned Sanjar "⁠SANJI⁠" Kuliev.

With regards to liTTle, OverDrive reported that HellRaisers were in talks with the coach to head up their new foray into CS:GO, with Nikita "⁠JIaYm⁠" Panyushkin and Dmitriy "⁠ProbLeM⁠" Martinov forming part of the roster.

As for the replacements that FORZE will be bringing in it is once again OverDrive who provides the latest information, suggesting that ex-Vega Squadron man Artem "⁠Fierce⁠" Ivanov will take up the reigns as coach, whilst young rifler Evgeny "⁠Norwi⁠" Ermolin will be signed following recent impressive performances for Singularity.

This will leave FORZE with one more slot on the roster to fill ahead of their next matches, which will be at the Dreamhack Open qualifier taking place October 20-21.

If reports hold true, the FORZE roster would be:

Fl1t is not a bad move for VP, but its important that they get a system going that supports the players they have. Right now, the Yekindar/Jame star combo is really powerful, and if Sanji leaving takes anything away from that, VP will suffer. That being said, the firepower upgrade of Fl1t could be the thing VP need to be a top5 team. Best of luck to all the players!

I think if VP wants to contend for titles, they need both. That being said, the firepower of the team matters more than Jame as an individual.

There’s nothing wrong with building a team around one player (see: NaVi) but VP will never break into the top 5 if one of their players is constantly on a bad buy.

I'm not sure about that, but I see what you're saying. I think it is possible for a team to break through as a top tier contender with a player who is forced to make sacrifices for the sake of others, such as NaVi with Zues/Edward, BIG with Tizian or more recently, Gambit with Interz. That being said, MOST top-tier teams need all players to be performing and solid.

qikert is better than sanji but sanji has a difficult role indeed, he always is used as bait and uses submachines very often with decent impact. he used to have a high HS percentage as well, i think VP stopped a little bit on time, earlier this year they were going places..

Unexpected that Sanji is called "much maligned". Maligned by who? Teammates love him, analytics and commentators love him, so who criticizes him. IMO, Sanji's unorthodox donor role is why he underperforms. VP all too often use tricks like full-stacking a site. Sanji's role is the same kind of trick, hence his weaker than possible performance.

I think NiP and Vitality are better than Gambit, at the moment. Vitality's beaten Gambit twice in a row, both clean 2-0. And Gambit also lost to a Tier2 Danish team twice in a row. Keyword - "Right now", i.e., past few weeks.
