IOL 2010 #1 hits brackets

The group stage at the IOL finals is now over as eight teams have progressed to the knock-out stage.

Group C had looked like a two-horse race between ENERIC and Playzone and it certainly disappointed no one as the two Scandinavian sides played out an exciting 15-15 draw which left the Swedish team at the top of group on round difference.

In Group D, Ravens were highly favoured to progress in first place but they unexpectedly faced some difficulties to do so. After beating DWTS 16-3, the Danish giants moved past FEMTON and Klan-ZOMG 16-13 and 16-8, respectively.

The tournament will now advance to an eight-team play-off stage, played in single elimination mode. The final will be played in best-of-three, with the winner moving on the overall final, which will take place tomorrow.
