United Kingdom name ENC squad

United Kingdom has announced the ten characters that will represent the nation in the qualification for the 2010 edition of European Nations Championship.

The rankings for the 2010 season of ENC was announced earlier this week, with the UK dropping in on 14th place with 6,45 points. The UK has lately been forming many new teams, in order to be ready for the upcoming ESL Pro Series season, four of those teams got members on the ENC squad.

Team UK captain Alex "AlesKi" Way from Dignitas has chosen a ten-man lineup that will be the companionship to represent the UK in the qualification.

if they let wez and suffz play, they wont go far. but hey, they'll probably not go far anyway. uk cs are pretty much dead.

dignitas always cant pass group stage because of draw points , they are so unlucky , but a very well prepared team..

They dont practise much or anything like that, steam hours is about 10-15 hours. And when he comes on i only see him on CSDM. So no wonder theyre not succesful.

ENC 2010 Rulebook states, that a national team can consist of 4 players from each team. I mean during the match :)

And last known stated rule by ESL regarding matchday lineup for the ENC tournament, was in the 2009 rulebook - 3 players. Unless you can prove this wrong, with a link to an admin or some set of rules, which states otherwise... don't comment back.

kye is probably the most gifted cs player in the uk That's pretty much the best the UK has to offer there, and I reckon they should do well. old dig lineup of sp|ke suffz kurt 101 AlesKi to play at least one game together :L

uk cs are pretty much dead. i have shans play in 4kings test because i live ther 4 years, and i have 2 say i woz not inaf good 2 stay , but uk cs 1.6 need new star gl guys

Because the most skilled players play CoD4 or CSS there.

our best players (the old dignitas/salvo lineup - rattlesnk and co) moved over to css for the cgs (which they won) and never moved back (with the exception of wez, who moved back over recently and isn't yet entirely on form.) as qub says, we continue to dominate both cod4 and css, with 2 top 5 teams in each game, but our cs1.6 level has been pretty poor since. seems to be on the verge of strengthening again though, the esl pro series has brought about a huge increase in effort by uk sides, wouldn't suprise me we start seeing some uk sides place well at international lans.

Generally UK CS 1.6 scene is pretty inactive, we used to have a few good teams, but the top players / teams are very elitest, and unless you know them you won't get a chance in their team. Dignitas are the only ones capable of competing on an international scale, but they don't seem to put any effort to take part in leagues / lans.

This pretty much. If you don't know them or know someone that knows them then it's hard to get into a decent team. Even if a player is willing to put shit loads of time in to get the experience, he'll still get shunned. So many times I've played mixes with 'high' skilled players who basically mock other guys for not having as much experience in situations, when really they should just be helping them. Just in their chavvy nature really ;)

Sad thing is, most of these "top" players aren't even good, its just the fact that they know certain people who got them into the CBNC team.

hardly anyone mentioning f0z :( whenever he plays UK win... uk dont put the effort in to be good like other countries... there is no money in gaming here (at least for 1.6) so there is no motivation for anyone to practice, hence why our top players are all like 10-15 hours of cs per 2 weeks.
