FaZe 13-0 ENCE on Anubis to make Sydney semis

FaZe took ENCE's map pick by storm and secured the first flawless win at a CS2 Big Event.

ropz had a 100% KAST in the series

FaZe put on a clinic in the IEM Sydney quarter-final against ENCE in a dominant victory. They secured a comfortable 13-5 on Nuke before demolishing ENCE on Anubis with a 13-0 scoreline to qualify for the semi-final.

Up next for Finn "karrigan" Andersen and company is a battle against MOUZ, who are playing with Bram "Nexius" Campana in place of Jimi "Jimpphat" Salo due to the Finn's visa issues, on Saturday at 10:30 .

FaZe, who struggled during the closing stages of CS:GO, were back to their best and once again came alive in a crowd setting. Their 13-0 victory was the first of its kind at a Big Event and reinforced FaZe's title bid in Sydney.

Filip "NEO" Kubski joined the desk for a post-match interview and was full of praise for his team. "It was a perfect game from our side," he began. "CS2 came out at a perfect time for the team and provided a great boost of motivation for everyone.

"We knew Nuke was our map, we had a perfect Nuke, and I didn't expect Anubis to be even better. It was one of our main focus maps, we knew we can be good on the map, but not that good."

The match started on Nuke, where ENCE found themselves 3-0 up after their pistol-round win and following conversion. Little did they know that was as good as it got for them in the series, as FaZe came back to win the half 8-4. ENCE were visibly frustrated during a first-half timeout, and their performance from then on only got worse. FaZe lost just one CT round to close out a 13-5 win and move the series to Anubis.

ENCE hoped to right the ship on their pick of Anubis, but FaZe didn't give them a chance. Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken was unstoppable on the map and averaged a 2.32 rating in FaZe's flawless 13-0 victory that will forever be etched into Counter-Strike history, moving the European combine one step closer to the first CS2 Big Event title.

TWISTZZ ARENA HITS DIFF

I was here to witness history, first ever tier one 13-0 haha. EZ4ENCE? More like EZAF4FAZE. Payback for fluke OT Dallas win. Anyway twistzz isn’t specifically arena player, but he has improved massively in CS2 overall for some reason. Let it be regained motivation or just new games mechanics favouring aggressive tapping and bursting players, because he has been underperforming af for over a year with exeption of EPL 17. Really glad to see him in such form and I hope it lasts unlike EPL, because last time twistzz was in long term form Faze won Katowice, Cologne and Major, so let’s see!!!

If Twistzz, Rain, Ropz and Broky all show up it's hard to stop FaZe. Even Karrigan was pulling his weight tbh.

Dude as a FaZe fan chill. Snappi is a class act, same with Twistzz. When stuff like this happens they praise the other team, apologize, take accountability, and state what they think affected it. They're not making excuses, rather being honest.

No snappi is know for complaining about almost everything, especially CS2, sure Twistzz is also know for coming up with stupid excuses like "I was flashed all the time" and I critized him for that as well. Sure many pros do what you say, but snappi takes it up a notch with crying on twitter over small things.

If FaZe had any success prior to cs2 they would've had no time to practice either. But I guess you enjoy your singular win at a tournament to then miss all playoffs for the next 5 tourneys. GL!

Lmao you are butthurt af after that asswhooping 13-0. Mr. Jerman you could not be more wrong, I see you eat snappi's excuses like hot cakes. It is ENCE's problem they had to play Blast Showdown and that is the only reason why they didn't have time to practise for CS2. They could withdraw from showdown, but it seems they practise for it and wanted to make Fall Final, but they failed to even do that lmao. Plus G2 were in exactly same position as ENCE, forced to play Showdown and they are doing great, Niko said in interview that it doesn't matter if they had only 2 days for practise since 2 months would not be enough for CS2. Before this both ENCE and Faze played EPL together so your "success or not" didn't play part in preparation for CS2 at all. Also I find it pretty hilarious what you call "success". One trophy in 11 years of CSGO? And that trophy came out of barely beating Faze in 60 rounds of Ancient with lifegame sunpayus and maden lmao. Np I hope snappi is going to win at least one CS2 trophy in 10 year so you can have your "success", while Faze take another treble of Major, Kato, Cologne plus Grand Slam.

Now Vitality bombing out in last place doesn't feel as bad ngl.... And I guess that's karma for consistently complaining about the game. And a consequence for not being able to grind on it due to having to play GO for BLAST Showdown.

It was hella entertaining, plus it's good time saving. If team is trash it's faster 13-0 than 16-0, if game is competitive and more round are needed there is still overtime. I see this as an absolute win.

YES FAZE! Dominant showing against #2. Let's hope the momentum & form can continue into the Mouz game. Let's get that Grand Slam notch! Ooft. That's going to sting for ENCE. Looked like a little frustration and disbelief came out from some of the players. They obviously need to have a talk through and reflect. I'm sure they'll bounce back.
