FURIA send Astralis packing from BetBoom Dacha
The Brazilian side will take on Spirit in a rematch, this time for a spot in the playoffs.

FURIA have emerged victorious from the Group B losers' match at BetBoom Dacha after seeing to the elimination of Astralis in a 2-0 series, barely edging out a win on their own pick of Mirage (19-17) before trouncing the Danes on Nuke (13-5).
The Brazilian team bounced back from a one-sided loss to Spirit on Wednesday with this win, but will need to show a much better face in their upcoming rematch against the Russian team for a spot in the playoffs on Friday.

Astralis, meanwhile, head home in disappointment after failing to record a series win in their debut event with Jakob "jabbi" Nygaard and Martin "stavn" Lund. They can, however, take solace in their limited practice time, and that their early officials give them some early indication of what they need to work on before the RMR qualifier cycle kicks off in the new year.
Highlights aplenty on Mirage delivered a spectacular map, with a slow start from Astralis allowing FURIA to push their way up to a 7-3 lead. Newcomer jabbi's heroics were key in putting Astralis back into contention as they won the last two rounds of the half, and the Danes made up for a slow start to their T side by winning six rounds in a row to reach map point, 12-10.
They couldn't close things out in regulation, however, and FURIA's aggressive information plays allowed them to force overtime. There, Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo and Nicolai "device" Reedtz traded highlight rounds as the teams battled into a second OT, where Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato stood tall to crush Astralis' hopes and take the win for his team.
Nuke was the antithesis to the narrow margins of Mirage. Astralis couldn't crack through FURIA's defenses and ended up looking the fools for picking the map, with the Brazilian team's aggression denying the Danes any chance to stabilize.
FalleN's men sat upon a 10-1 lead before Astralis finally strung some rounds together at the start of the second half, but the meager three rounds they added just served to make the map look like less of a blowout before FURIA ended the game.
