Ravens tops Danish EPS Nordic qual

The Danish qualifier for ESL Pro Series Nordic II commenced this evening, when Ravens defeated Ab Ovo 2-0 in the final.

Ab Ovo had this past Sunday defeated Ravens in the upper-bracket final, securing the one spot in the qualifier final. Ravens secured the second spot yesterday, when defeating Team XLBet in a marathon match.

Lately it’s been Ab Ovo having the upper hand against Ravens, but tonight Ravens managed to defeat their nemesis for the past weeks. Starting off on de_tuscan, Ravens managed a narrow 16-14 win. Ravens needed to win the second map also, if they wanted to qualify directly to ESL Pro Series Nordic II.

Starting on the CT side, Ravens secured a lot of important rounds in the race to win the map, at half time they noted down six rounds, while Ab Ovo had nine. Now playing Terrorists, Ravens started to regain control of the match. Towards the end of the match, Ab Ovo experienced some steam problems, which meant some players disconnected several times. It once again came down to a neck-and-neck affair, this time seeing Ravens pull out victorious with 16-14 once again.

With the result Ravens qualify directly to ESL Pro Series Nordic II, while Ab Ovo and Team XLBet will enter the Last Chance Qualifier.

Honestly their performance has gone downhill since that big tournament they ended up 3rd or something. (their international day-view lol). Anyway at least they're doing better than other Danish teams. Let's see them go back on the international map :P
