9z invited to Elisa Masters Espoo

The La Violeta team will have a busy second half of the season with at least four events on the calendar in the next three months.

9z are the second team invited to Elisa Masters Espoo, the tournament's organizers have announced. They are the fourth team confirmed to participate in the tournament taking place in Espoo, Finland from October 16-20.

Previously, the organizers unveiled the invitation of ENCE, and B8 and JANO secured their place at the $250,000 competition by winning the Elisa Invitational Spring and Elisa eSM tournaments.

Three more teams will be invited to the Finnish event, and the final spot will be awarded to the winner of Elisa Invitational Fall, which kicked off earlier this week with the group stage.

9z's participation in Elisa Masters Espoo follows a slew of invites the Latin American side has received following a surprise run to the semi-finals at IEM Dallas and victory at the FiReLEAGUE Global Finals, which prompted their rise to the organization's best ever ranking in 11th place.

Following the summer off-season, 9z have not been able to live up to that level after exiting IEM Cologne in 13th-16th place, but they will have several chances to build back up thanks to their invitations to ESL Pro League Season 20, IEM Rio, Elisa Masters and the Perfect World Shanghai Major Americas RMR.
