YaLLa Compass to remain 12-team events in 2025
The tournament organizer also revealed dates for its 2026 tournaments.

YaLLa has announced that it is pulling a 180 on its plans to expand YaLLa Compass to 16 teams at its two events in 2025 and will keep its events to 12, the same it has had at its Compass event in 2024.
"By focusing on a more intimate format with fewer teams and higher investment per team, we’re ensuring that every participant has the best possible experience," Teemu Koski, YaLLa Esports' CGO, said in the TO's release. "The evolution of YaLLa Compass is a key part of our strategy to create a lasting, sustainable esports circuit that will continue to attract global talent and fans."

In doing so, YaLLa's events will keep the structure of its flagship event in 2024, with two round-robin groups playing into a single-elimination playoff bracket.
Invites to their events will start from the highest-ranked VRS team and go in descending order. Six teams will be invited to the main event and six to the closed qualifier.
Dates have also been set for the three 2026 tournaments. The first event, in Qatar, will take place on April 20-26. A second event, with the location yet to be revealed, will take place on September 7-13, and the final event in the United Arab Emirates will be played on November 16-22.

Prize pools for the 2026 have also been revealed, and will be the same as the ones announced for the 2025 season. The breakdown is the following:
Overall distribution of $750,000 per tournament will be:
Main event: $600,000
Closed Qualifier: $75,000
Open Qualifier #1: $25,000

The $600,000 prize pool distribution at main events will be:
