The international team is moving quickly to secure a new AWPer.

G2 are locked in talks to sign hades on loan

G2 are in advanced talks with Monte to secure the loan signing of Olek "⁠hades⁠" Miskiewicz, multiple sources have told HLTV. The Polish AWPer is at the top of G2's list to replace Ilya "⁠m0NESY⁠" Osipov, who is reportedly joining Falcons before the BLAST.tv Austin Major.

G2 are scrambling to find a new AWPer as m0NESY's transfer might be finalized right after PGL Bucharest. Between the Romanian event and the Major, G2 will still compete at PGL Astana (May 10-18) and IEM Dallas (May 19-25).

Media: m0NESY set to join Falcons in blockbuster move

Earlier on Monday, Monte announced that hades had stepped down from their active roster. This left the team with only three players following Sergiy "⁠DemQQ⁠" Demchenko's transfer to Passion UA.

If the move comes to fruition, hades will reunite with Janusz "⁠Snax⁠" Pogorzelski after the pair notably played together on ENCE at IEM Dallas 2022, where the G2 captain replaced Lotan "⁠Spinx⁠" Giladi. Later that year, they teamed up again on ex-Finest for a brief period.

hades joined Monte in July 2024, when he was transferred from ENCE alongside Paweł "⁠dycha⁠" Dycha. He took up captaincy duties upon his arrival, but the role was transferred to Jack "⁠Gizmy⁠" von Spreckelsen at the beginning of 2025.

me too, but I know Hades have very big mechanical skill, and he can fight vs people like fallen, dev1ce and monesy, but he have a lot of mental issues years ago and he is not stable at all. If he works on his mentality and manages pressure, hate, and his own psyche, he is capable of playing at a top level. His playing style is extremely 'exhausting' for the opponent and could bring a lot of good for G2 if he played at his highest level.

Doesn't do anything with my opinion, r1nkle is imo much worse player overall than hades and less experienced. He also has different gameplay style he wouldn't fit g2 at all. Gr1ks, I dont know much about this guy cuz I'm not really watching ex-aurora, by looking on his stats he doesn't look bad but since he is belarusian and he was playing in russian team, we don't know what is his communication in english so that could be a problem. Sunpayus he is also a great awper and he is also taken rn by heroic. He is also very experienced but, last time he is definitely worse than hades by looking at his stats. Headtr1ck, he is pretty decent young sniper with not bad stats, but they're also simillar to hades stats and he is less experienced, also like gr1ks, he is playing in national team so I don't know what is his english communication level. Khan - tbh imo he is just mid. Nothing special about this guy, hades is much better than him. Let's remember that It's only a loan on hades, it doesn't mean he is gonna take place in g2 for a very long time, for an example until they'll find a better option.
