niko denies fnatic switch

Lions member Niklas "niko" Johansson has declared that he has no intention of joining fnatic.

The Swedish veteran is one of the players who has been strongly linked with the vacant position at fnatic following the departure of three players on Tuesday.

For a few minutes, Johansson was even announced on fnatic's website as a player of the team before his name was removed from the official news post.

The former Speed-Link and Begrip player admitted to being approached by fnatic, but noted that his heart is with Lions.

"It's true that I got an offer, I put a lot of thought into it but eventually I chose to stay with my boys in Lions. We have so much fun outside of the game and I really believe in the new Lions-team for 2011," Johansson told fragbite.com.

Lions are currently looking for a player after Richard "Xizt" Landström left for fnatic, and Johansson has now opened the door to Rasmus "Gux" Ståhl, who is currently without a team.

"Since our next tournament is the European Finals in Kiev we've decided to try out Niwen. Just kidding, but it would be fun to play with Gux again," he said.

then that's your fault rofl, either you havent been watching CS before 2009 or you just check hltv.org and not the dutch CS sites... he has played for team NL and for CNO, who represented Holland at the WCG 2007, where he and his teammates managed to raech the quarter finals, getting eliminated by lex and co (virtus pro) after a few thrilling overtimes on nuke. If you really are dutch you're either joking or don't know jack# about dutch CS rofl :P

Niko is really good, the best player avaible for fnatic besides MODDII although niko is much less of a team hopper and more loyal. Hopefully fnatic signs MODDII because he is the only 5th that can bring them the same level as SK imo.

I think people are underestimating the fnatic line up. They got cArn, who obviously can build a team to be nr 1. They got delpan, who arguably is the best awper in the world. They got Xizt, who was the best player in Lions. He's been envolving great the last year, and I expect him to be 2011's GeT_RiGhT. They also got dsn, which is a good rifler. With a top notch 5th, this line up has more potential than the SK line up, in my opinion.
