In our last frag higlight of the year, we once again travel back to 2003, this time making a stop in the United States.

In the UGS Invite league in 2003, TEC, one of the most important American clans of the first half of the decade took on GX, and Erik "da_bears" Stromberg, who also had spells with united 5, Jax Money Crew and zEx, had this amazing round while defending bombsite B, taking down four opponents with his AWP.

I used to do it as well in 1.3. Because it didn't matter, you could shoot without a delay.

The quick-switch was awesome with an awp back then because when you switched to your pistol you would move at pistol speed to get away, and when you switched back to your awp you only had to wait for the animation to finish before you could fire. Valve changed that in 1.6 though with the delay.

If you fastswitch it feels like you have more time to aim at the following enemy. Though, nowadays it is not necessary to use because there is a delay.

and theres was no delay. you could shoot fast, REALLY FAST (not so fast as you may be thinking but there was NO DELAY)

sorry to burst ur bubble but what makes pro cs players pro now isnt just aim. best aimers back then would have been best aimers now, just that in general even noobies these days are better than the general non competitive players from before.

so many noobs here i swear to god, back then 0.01 interp was the opposite of what it does now. it was considered a cheat command, and in general 1.5 registration was far out better than 1.6 if you ask me.

Gotta love the fast switch of the awp. I fucking love the old CS and still miss it. Lets hope 2011 will bring a few more teams to the game or else CS will be pretty dead :)

Is it me or does it look like the hitboxes were a bit messed up in this clip? As if they were using ex_interp 0.1 (where the hitbox trails behind a player rather than where it should be).
