Immunity wins Dice National Cup #2

Team Immunity have claimed victory over the weekend in the second edition of the Dice National Cup. Immunity were able to secure the victory over long time rival v300 with a two maps to nil win.

Immunity and v300 cruised through the opening day with flawless results in the group stage finishing top of their respective groups and earning a bye in the first round of elimination matches. Both teams were able to fend off challenges from ArchaicMSI.New Zealand and exile5 to book their places in the grand final where the teams would square off on de_nuke and de_inferno.

In both matches Immunity were able to get good leads on the less favoured sides, but strong fight backs from v300 in the mid-game ensured both matches came down the final few rounds. Immunity won both maps with a scoreline 16-13.

Team Immunity roster:

Australia Gareth "GazR" Lynn
Australia Yaman "Yam" Ergenekon
Australia Mark "DeStiny" Kagen

Australia Ricky "Rickeh
" Mulholland
Australia Anthony "Neri" Neri

The top placings for this years Dice National Cup were as follows:

1. Australia Immunity
2. Australia v300
3-4. New Zealand ArchaicMSI.New Zealand
3-4. Australia eXile5

no prizes for this event, this is what we call a 'community' event. Instead of giving prizes (which is usually won by the same teams every time, the organisers divide the total money evenly to help pay for flights. 12 teams played, and teams received $400USD each to help pay for Flights/Accommodation if needed.

Peekay played very well and had probably the most highlight-worthy round of the tournament, but the demo was lost in a server reboot. :(

they do, they play WCG every year, + MSI Beat IT + Intel Extreme Masters. They also bootcamped in stockholm for 2 weeks before WCG this year.

1.I agree, but WCG pays all the costs, and even teams from India are coming, so it's not an indicator for sure... 2. IEM? In Asia qualifications? 3. MSI Beat IT - only 1 tournament when sponsors paid for their expenses? what about ESWC, Arbalet Dallas, and other tournaments, when it can be profitable to go?

no ESWC qualifier in Australia. Applied for Arbalet many times, never got accepted to my knowledge. Also Kode5 in Russia. (not this year in peru, for obvious reasons).
