63 teams in second Guangzhou qual.

The second European qualifier for the IEM6 Global Challenge in Guangzhou takes place today and will see a total of 63 teams in attendance.

Last Sunday the first four teams qualified for the final qualifier, which will take place next Sunday and today it is time to find another four. Nearly the double amount of teams have signed up this Sunday, with 63 teams, a 64 teams bracket has been created.

Of interesting names attending this Sunday we have TCM-Gaming, Lions, a2g, Soltec, HEADSHOTBG and Electronic Sahara with a mix-lineup.

The bracket has been made and you can check it out by clicking here.

The first two rounds of the bracket will be played best-of-one map, while rounds three and four will be played best-of-three maps. The first round will start at 13:00 and the matches will keep on going until four teams remain.

might have something to do with the fact that IEM is currently in the process of paying out the prize money of IEM 1986. Na'Vi might have to wait another 15 years before they will receive their prize money, I think teams simply don't want to invest so much money on flight tickets and accommodation when they will not get their prize money any time soon, the only thing to gain on short term is honor/recognition and brand awareness.
