Gux MVP of IEM6 GC Guangzhou
Rasmus "Gux" Ståhl was voted by the majority of our users, as well as the experts, as the Most Valuable Player of IEM6 Global Challenge Guangzhou. All-Star lineup was also selected, where Ståhl is joined by his newest teammate and three members of mousesports.
ESL has already awarded Roman "roman" Ausserdorfer from mousesports as the official MVP of this tournament, giving him several worthy hardware prizes. Although that choice was based on a public vote that took place while the tournament was still running.
Although we don't give out any prizes for the winners, we have still per our tradition, conducted our own vote, to somewhat put the official choice to the test and also to select the All-Star lineup.
Firstly we announced the top players of the tournament, where our users had a chance to choose the MVP and the All-Star lineup. Around 2000 votes were collected from the public, who were then joined by another 26 of "experts" (players and journalists) from a private poll, which produced a different result than the official selection.
MVP
As his biggest accomplishment of the year, Rasmus "Gux" Ståhl has been named the MVP of IEM6 Global Challenge Guangzhou. After spending the beginning of 2011 in Lions, Ståhl joined fnatic in June, for the third time in his career, now finally emerging as the team's main star. Following an impressive individual performance at GameGune where he was the best rated and subsequently picked in the All-Star lineup, now in China he helped the team climb further and take their second title in 2011 (which was his first).
The selection of Ståhl is also backed up by statistics, considering that he stood out in several aspects. While being second best rated (1.25 rating), he was the event's best fragger (177 total kills, 0.86 KPR), best entry fragger (34 entry kills) and most consistent performer overall. In addition to that, he recorded 20 or more kills in 6 of his 8 maps.
All of that made him the best performer from the winning team, which in turn made half of the experts select him as the MVP, along with 44% of the public. Quite behind, the runner-up in the poll was Roman "roman" Ausserdorfer with 22% of overall votes.

All-Star lineup
The All-Star lineup unsurprisingly contains all five of the MVP nominees as they were most picked by both sides of the poll. Therefore the fictional lineup is composed of two members of the winning team fnatic and three players from second-placed mousesports.
All-star lineup of IEM6 Global Challenge Guangzhou:
Rasmus "Gux" Ståhl (fnatic)
Roman "roman" Ausserdorfer (mousesports)
Michele "zonixx" Köhler (mousesports)
Finn "karrigan" Andersen (mousesports)
Michael "Friis" Jørgensen (fnatic)
Same as in the MVP poll, both sides agreed that Rasmus "Gux" Ståhl was the top pick of the All-Star lineup, being selected by almost every expert (88%) and with 79% also being the public's first choice.
Experts also considered Roman "roman" Ausserdorfer an essential ingredient of the All-Star lineup (85%), and even though the public was less convinced (59%), the best pistol-round player of the tournament ended up the 2nd most picked.
The best rated player of the final, overall best rated and definitely the revelation of the tournament, Michele "zonixx" Köhler, may not have taken the highest laudits after his first rise to fame, but his performance is recognized in the All-Star lineup selection. He was particularly favored by the experts as their 3rd choince (73%), while the public had him as their 4th (52%).
Mousesports' most consistent performer and their first star this year, Finn "karrigan" Andersen also earned a spot in the lineup. His AWP was a big influence on the team's success and that was reflected in the vote as 62% of the experts chose him, along with 50% of the public.
Completing the fictional lineup is the most recent addition to the fnatic family, Michael "Friis" Jørgensen, who excelled as soon as he joined, winning the title in his first tournament with the team. He was actually the 2nd choice of the public with 59%, and while the experts weren't that convinced he still had 42% of votes from them, enough to leave his first follower Timi "aslak" Verkkoperä far behind.

Stay tuned to HLTV.org in this extremely busy October month to help us select more MVPs and All-Star lineups, as we are still to announce the polls for SEC 2011 and IEM6 GC New York, while ESWC is right around the corner.
