Video: niko vs Visual Gaming

Our first highlight from Copenhagen Games 2012 features Niklas "niko" Johansson from Lemondogs in their group stage match against Visual Gaming.

In this video Johansson shows off his AWP skills as he takes down four Danish players attempting to take over the B bomb site on de_inferno. Lemondogs went on to win the map 16-2 and 2-0 overall.

As an interesting side note, Visual Gaming consists of deaf and partly deaf players and they actually use various hand signals and a special AMX mod on the server to communicate among themselves.

Anyone knows if that awp crosshair, like the red dot and the lines around it don't go until the black zone. Is it script ? Or a command?

How is that contradictory? Surely it's impressive if you have a deficiency of any kind and compete on a professional level. This still doesn't mean you need to feel bad for the guys, nor do they want/need that. I'm guessing if e.g. you happen to be deaf, you've had people feel sorry for you for your whole life. This is how I've generally understood how people with a deficiency of any kind feel.

+1 I feel, that I've a normal life like as others peoples - except sound+music+language... And I play Counter-Strike, because I love this game even no sound. I'm 100% deaf and play without headset. n1truz, dual1ty & c4ciuM use headsets, because they can hear a little (60-80% deaf). Eske is normal as you others. Sorry for bad english. Btw thx for support!

I find your story pretty amazing! I mean, it's great to see that you are putting effort into the game, in spite of being deaf/partially deaf! All of you just got all my respect! Just a question: how does the AMX plugin works, and how can it improve your communication? I'm really interested to know

We use amx_chat from AMX Mod X Basic. I just add all deafs players to the admin list, then they can type chat for only admins. Just click "U" (sayteam) and write with @ as first then only admin can see this text. Like click U and type "@2 at b site with bomb".. even you are alive or dead. It's still slower info than voice chat but better than nothing.
