HLTV.org's DHW qualifier information

We are now ready to publish the accepted teams, schedule, rules and bracket for our DreamHack Winter 2012 qualifier which offers two spots for the main tournament.

Out of over sixty applicants, we have narrowed the list down to sixteen who were chosen to participate in our qualifier based on merits and giving teams from various countries a chance.

As announced in our previous post, the first round of matches will take place on Monday, with one best-of-three series for each advancing team a day from there on out.

Each team has to contact HLTV.org staff via our IRC-channel #HLTV on irc.quakenet.org at least thirty minutes before the scheduled match time to avoid forfeit losses.

Teams are also required to both record and upload POV demos and make sure they run commands that an admin tells them in order to allow us access to server logs and GOTV.

Monday November 12th

19:00 Round of 16 matches 1-4
21:00 Round of 16 matches 5-8

Tuesday November 13th

19:00 Quarter-finals 1-2
21:00 Quarter-finals 3-4

Wednesday November 14th

19:00 Semi-final 1
21:00 Semi-final 2

Thursday November 15th

21:00 Grand final

Notice that the opening round will see Buykey versus EYES ON U and In Your Head vs Anexis switch times in the schedule due to the teams' commitments in the ESL Major Series.

The sixteen participants have been seeded and placed in the single elimination best-of-three bracket which can be viewed here, or down below:

*Update: In Your Head have been removed from the tournament due to lineup problems. They will be replaced by tempteam from Norway.

Worth noting is that the grand final has to be played for seeding purposes, and if a team does not show up or loses on purpose they will be disqualified. This is done to ensure high quality matches for the spectators.

Every match will feature GOTV and you will find full coverage of our qualifier here on HLTV.org. We will also be present at DreamHack Winter in under two weeks time on November 22-24.

We swedes have to choose between the Swedish and the international qualifier as they're on the same dates and the danes finished their qualifiers yesterday which means they were finished just in time for this one!
