Gamer University raid NextGaming
Gamer University have announced that they have secured the services of NextGaming's CS:GO squad.
The Italian team were recently seen in action in the group stage of the ESL Major Winter Series, in which they failed to impress, losing all five matches to finish at the bottom of their group.
The former I Pensionati team, who boast players who made a made for themselves in the CS:Source with OX ENERMAX, have now decided to don the colours of Gamer University, a United States-based organisation who also have Dota 2 and League of Legends divisions.
Along with the move to the new organisation, the Italian team have also confirmed that they have parted company with Guglielmo "GUGLi" Carraro and Tommaso "Overfly" Tschuor as both players have decided to stop playing CS:GO.
To replace these two players, Gamer University called upon the services of Federico "uNd" Malizia, who had been the team's backup player, and Lorenzo "biohazard" Garufi, a former member of afterlife's CS:Source squad.
"The players and management of the team would like to send a massive thanks to the organisation for letting them be a part of Gamer University and will work very hard in order to bring results which will put them on the map and hopefully become a household name in the European counter strike scene," team manager Viliam "villiG" Andrascik said.
Contacted by HLTV.org, Gamer University member Matteo "trig" Zamperetti stated that the team plan on attending Esports Heaven Vienna on the weekend of February 23rd-24th.
Gamer University have the following roster:
Christian "Stylahhhhh" Forte
Riccardo "kIMERA" D'urso
Matteo "trig" Zamperetti
Federico "uNd" Malizia
Lorenzo "biohazard" Garufi
