AGENT seek organisation

Norwegian team AGENT have announced that they are looking for an organisation to sponsor them ahead of their plans to attend future events such as the DreamHack Summer qualifiers.

AGENT gained some notice outside of the Norwegian scene when they became the first Norwegian team to take a map off fellow country juggernaughts LGB eSports in March. The victory occurred in the Telenor League, one of Norway's main national leagues.

The young team—which includes three seventeen-year-old players—is also active in CEVO Main, Altibox league (another large Norwegian league) and recently took part in the RGN EU Pro Series qualifiers where the team notably managed to beat Finnish Menace in the lower bracket.

The team are now actively looking for an organisation to represent at upcoming events. AGENT's captain Mikael "ultra" Andersen wanted to stress that despite the team's low median age, their ultimate goals are focused on long-term growth:

"The first thing I had in mind when forming this team was long-term perspective and the dedication that comes with it. With that in mind there were few alternatives within the more experienced player pool that Norway has to offer. Therefore I looked towards players in the minor teams, players that, albeit young and inexperienced, had shown signs of great potential at Norwegian events such as ByLAN.

At first it seemed overly optimistic to acquire three players at the age of 17 with zero international experience, and the road has indeed been bumpy, but we believe we have "cracked the code" and our improvement especially for the past month has been impressive. We now feel comfortable by taking the team to the next level and as such we now look for possible partnerships for the future.

We are currently participating in CEVO Main, Altibox league, Telenor league, and this weekend we will partake in a qualifier for QPAD King of Nordic. We have also signed up for the upcoming season of ESEA league and ESL league, and we plan to make our major offline debut at Dreamhack Summer!" Andersen said.

AGENT's lineup is currently:

Norway Mikael "ultra" Andersen
Norway Henrik "neto" Kristengård
Sweden Viktor "Cyph" Johansson
Norway Endre "phrzer" Solhaug
Norway Adrian "CYNEX" Vevletveit

AGENT sit at 2-0 in CEVO Main with victories over French BeGenius and UK XENEX; the team plan to go to the offline qualifiers for DreamHack Summer as well. They can be reached by email at [email protected] or on their Facebook page: facebook.com/AGENT.no.

He probably ment like just a big offline debut, not a major with 200k etc, just like a big tournament where multiple top tier teams are going.

+1. Both Mystic and Skurk are good players and people not knowing who they are clearly doesen't have much knowledge about players outside the tier 1 circle.

People who doesn't know teams like this displays their own lack of knowledge and skill level. They have a high individual level and might just break into being relevant either on their own or as a team, because they really do the right thing to get there.

This is a great pick for orgas that are interested in building a reputation. Three of the players are about 17, cyph is also pretty young and they are unbelievable skillwise for such a young age imo. Im certain that these guys will onlye get better, and I know they put in a crazy lot of hours in the game. Im not sure as I don't know how much the other norwegian tier1 teams (tier on a national basis) but I would be surprised if any was near the amount of hours Agent put in. Im calling it: The core of this team will be participating in a Major within the next two years. Maybe they have changed one or two, or maybe even held the squad together, but Im sure we will see some of them in a Major.

You describe them as unbelievable skilled for their age yet they haven`t played outside the norwegian scene yet. Remember that there are players like s1mple and flamie who also are 17 year old, who are monsters on the INTERNATIONAL stage, against real skilled players. So your statement about them norwegian being unbelievable skilled for doesnt really make sense. All the greatest players break throught at young age you know, GTR at 16 etc etc. Please stop this madness. Takk.

but its something els to have a team with only young guys with very little experience than like flamie and s1mple being a small piece of very experienced teams, so their learning procces been alot faster. lets see i think the Agent guys can do good

ye and thats why they wont do any damage. Any person with some experience with competetive CS knwos that some gang of 17 year olds won`t stick together for two whole years or so. I call that none of these players will ever play a major

Describing them as unbelievable skilled for their age is correct in the way that they have the potential to become how good they want to be. How do you think for example s1mple and flamie got to their level? They put in a lot of hours, which theese guys also do. Practising 7-8 hours every day, which these guys do- we can't take anything away from them. Ultra has god a lot of international experience, and if you read the article close enough, which to me it doesnt look like you did- you can see that they have been playing in multiple online leagues, qualifications and beaten good experienced teams like for example Menace, myKPV, also close to beating Gamers2(lost in overtime) a couple of months back i reckon. Inside of Norway everyone knows about theese guys, and ultra has always been the kind of leader who establishes a young team, and does great with the circumstances. Look back at Xapso for example, where they qualified for a Major, Fragbite Masters etc. (with aizy, cadian, robiin) and so on. He knows who to pick, and also know how to make them better players. I know them good enough to say that they will continue playing, and I hope they will stick together for a long time, as long they continue to improve. I really think theese guys can become something big in the future, let's see. I know I am right ;)

Thanks for a good reply... maybe Im wrong maybe Im not. Remember that the way from being an established and skilled semi-pro player/team, to being a consistent major qualified player/team is looooong. Like in all sports, the minority has it, the majority don`t. And we can for sure say that these guys for now are in the majority group.

I fully agree with you. But it shows a lot if they are three seventeen year olds, and they already put in more hours than a lot of people, that should automaticly show signs of big dedication; I doubt you spent the same amount of hours in Counter-Strike when you were 17. But yeah, I do agree with you in one way, and without a organization to help them- they won't get the chance to even participate and proove themselves.

I played CS at least the same amount of hours everyday of the weak as these guys, and a lot of other teenagers I knew did the same thing. Some of us become quite good in the norwegian scene..but it`s a whole other ballgame when you go international. In my opinion it`s waaaaay to early to predict these nonamers in the majors in a couple of years.

Hopefully they will find a suiting organization. This team has already prooved in the Norwegian leagues that they can really do impact. As ultra is stating, having three out of five players in the team at the age of 17, that's just incredible. Good luck, I wish you the best. neto beast <3
