3DMAX open Swedish division

3DMAX have announced the acquisition of the Decerto Counter-Strike squad.

The Swedish side switch organisations less than three months after joining Decerto, the first home of the team originally called The FroZeN HeLLGuardZ.

"Decerto could not send us to any LAN events, so we left for an organisation that could send us to some tournaments. It was a question of money," Nicolai "xynk" Caran told HLTV.org.

The Swedes will form the 3DMAX's second Counter-Strike team, following the footsteps of the French squad, who have, however, their days numbered.

3DMAX will only support the French team for one more event, Gamers Assembly, as they believe that the downfall that CS has registered in France no longer justifies having a team from the country.

Along with the move, the team will switch one player, as Mahyar "Noodles" Samadi makes way for Niklas "plyfa" Runsvik, a former member of Stockholm Angels due to what Nicolai "xynk" Caran described as personal differences.

3DMAX, who have signed up for DreamHack Summer, now have the following Swedish team:

Sweden Mikail "eksem" Bill
Sweden Dennis "denwin" Gustavsson
Sweden Nicolai "xynk" Caran
Sweden Kristoffer "DYNAMIC" Johannesson
Sweden Niklas "plyfa" Runsvik

Denwin is very good deff a top player in Sweden could easily stand in for LIONS or SK he lead ENERIC which was almsot a top 5 team in Sweden..DYNAMIC and xynk also played on ENERIC they are good as well...eksem is decent...never heard of plyfa. But denwin is an amazing team leader so im guessing this team is good, his last team always placed in top 8 at IOL and Swedish events.

You can say lies all you want but im friends with a bunch of Swedes and that was their words on those players about a year ago and I'm guessing they are better since then and yes ENERIC was probably the 5th - 8th best team in Sweden for a while.

SK or Lions is probably to take it one notch too far, but i agree that denwin is a really good and underestimated player. he could easily take pronax's place in RAGE and make that team better. but tbh, with time i think we will see this team perform quite a bit better than just RAGE and perhaps even got a shot against Lions if they just stay together and keep practicing. they got so much potential. i never considered xynk being an especially good player, but after both playing him and watching him a lot the last time, it's obvious that he has developed into a player with star qualities. gonna be really interesting to see these guys at future events and see what kind of damage they can do. :)

they arent exactly randoms. plyfa denwin and xynk have been around for a long time. they havent played in any teams the last years really but back in 2006-2007 they did some nice results with their respective teams. and they've already done some nice results in their short existence and will only get better, especially with plyfa instead of Noodles, if they just stay together and keep practicing hard. i never considered denwin to be the big reason why his previous teams were successful, but now, with this team i realized that he's really a pivotal part of the team and a great (and underestimated) team leader. i would go as far and say that he's actually a better leader than mr. pronax in RAGE.

Theyre alot better than many other supported teams. And the fact that you havent heard of them doesnt make them random.

As the one who had the chance to share with them the past months I can tell you they are not just good, but then they are also great guys, the kind of guys that like to help and you really want to have in your organization and also full of talent and great skills. Sadly we are not able to help them they way 3DMax can, but is there are any guys out there that deserve to be sent to LAN, that is these guys, and for sure and with the right support, they will do great things in the future.

This may sound silly, but what happened to Stockholm Angels? ;O When did they disbanded?

If I remember correctly Stockholm Angels were raided by Begrip, later on the team lost members here and there etc. and thus in the end ended up disbanding and the members joined projects like da_team or teams like RAGE-Gaming...
