eXtensive shut down CS team
eXtensive have announced they have put an end to their Counter-Strike division.
The move come just one week after the team were sent out of Gamers Assembly in the second group stage after losses to Millenium and Electronic Sahara.
eXtensive were initially interested in continuing their support of the team, but later backtracked after learning of Rémi "instanz" Poilblanc's plans to put a hault to his career.
"After Gamers Assembly, I accepted to keep them under certain conditions," Michael "Leakim" Diefenbronn told eXtensive's website.
"They then agreed, but Rémi has decided to stop playing Counter-Strike and I no longer wish to invest in this game."
After two weeks without a team, eXtensive decided to give another go for GA, which was won by eSahara, and assembled a new lineup with three former members of their house and ex-aAa duo Rémi "instanz" Poilblanc and Philippe "faculty" Rodier.
With Poilblanc set to hang up his mouse, the future of the other four players remains very much subject to conjecture, as more roster changes in the French scene are expected to be made in the coming days.
eXtensive had the following team:
Pascal "BaaL" Rouanet
Samuel "DkG" Keller
Benjamin "Skall" Akiaya
Rémi "instanz" Poilblanc
Philippe "faculty" Rodier
