ex-CNB join paiN

paiN have announced they have secured the services of the former CNB Gaming lineup.

The KODE5 champions decided to quit CNB last month for a new organisation which could provide them with better financial support, but the name of the new home was not announced at the time.

paiN, who have a long history in DotA and possess one of the game's strongest squads in Brazil, have decided to expand to Counter-Strike with a project they are confident that will bring them success.

"We have been investing in esports for some time, but we were limited to DotA, thanks to the repercussion, the team's good results and the great support we received, we saw it was time to grow and try to take esports in Brazil to a professional level," paiN owner "paada" told teamplay.com.br.

Questioned about paiN's future events, Guilherme "spacca" Spacca stated his team plan on re-visiting GameGune, where they finished in 5-6 place last year.

CNB at GameGune 2010

The former CNB Gaming team were last seen at the KODE5 Global Finals in December, picking up the trophy in an all-Latin American event with a 2-0 victory over Wild Ineters.

paiN have the following lineup:

Brazil Olavo "chucky" Napoleão
Brazil Guilherme "spacca" Spacca
Brazil Thiago "btt" Monteiro
Brazil Arthur "prd" Resende
Brazil Gustavo "mkr" Mekaru

I would only take into account both K5 (BR & Global Finals). GH Extreme was a very weird event in terms of results, guys from ex-coL & ex-CNB still don't recognize them as a world class team. After seeing mibr performance at DH, I think we all could see how worthy was ex-CNB's one at GameGune. As I've said before, they are all quite close. But CNB has been the most stable lately, and they've shown what they can do outside in both GG and K5.

ESWC/WCG - coL Fire - pA GH - sX Kode5 - CnB, how can you say that paiN is better than actual col if they havent played yet?

hltv.org/?pageid=28&&offset=0&search=1&t.. The one above is in WCG, and yeah they haven't played each other yet, maybe because ex-coL has just rebuilt up? Beforehand, I'd say they're better just because they've been playing along for a while, as instead ex-coL has to integrate both urb and shemp...

So? Does that mean they're better? Is eSahara better than Na'Vi overall then? Please...that means that both ex-CNB & ex-coL won each other so many times, nothing else... I've explained my point already

As far as I know, there isn't a player in the entire country that can deliver the ammount of positive energy spacca gives to his teammates. I remember when they played fnatic at GG, he was outta his mind while cheering for his buddies.

In my opinion, Ferrer does it well. He's always helping the team, not in-game but out-game. About players, btt and chucky give more energy than spc. -spc +fln would be interesting, prd would assume definitely the spc's role, role that he execute better than spc, in my opinion. So, fln could be the 1st awper, and prd also could be the second awper. prd is the most complete player in Brazil in moment, a prove of that is: he was the best player in GG last year. fln, prd, mkr, btt, cky would be the brazilian dreamteam, like Na'Vi did.

that is like the expierience trio fnatic used to have (forest cArn dsn), you just can't break it. btt cky and spacca are irreplaceable, prd is by far the best brazilian player, and mkr has the potential fnx had when he started. don't change anything, they will be on top ofc FalleN would fit very well in any lineup he could join, but the thing is that he's not joining a stable team. And about the Na'Vi comparisson, many fans dislike ceh9 because of his poorly fragging (poor compared to his teammates ofc.) but he does a great job, and I think his teammates consider him irreplaceable as well

second best team of brazil after of ex-coL. This guys can do a high damage in international events, top 6 for them. They will fight with ex-coL for the top1 in brazil. At the moment i think ex-coL have a better team. FalleN + Nak + Bruno, thats a sick trio for a every team in world, thats why ex-coL is hard to beat.
