This is probably how they decided positions. When teams tie on points, they follow the following rules to split the tie. 1. Head-to-Head 2. Rounds between the teams involved in the tie. 3. Total Rounds for/against for entire group stage. You can see that 2. was put into place, after 1. was even at 1 map each. Fx and Kerchnet (Kerchnet has more rounds) Virtus.pro and ROCCAT (VP has more rounds) 1. SK 2. KerchNet 3. FX 1. Virtus.pro 2. ROCCAT 3. M5 SK / Virtus.pro = semi-finals Kerchnet vs M5 = quarterfinals ROCCAT vs FX = quarterfinals

Its stupid thing with those rounds.. :( it should be 1 3 2 in my opinion its group stage, so all rounds are more important thant these in matches between "eqal" teams imo

this is how most tournaments do it now They dont like using your method, because often the team coming last in the group stops trying and gets 16-0.... or sometimes they dont even play the final match and forfeit. So using Rounds (only for the teams that are involved is much better) because they know everyone is trying 100%

yeah, but what if the crap team was say, FearFactory or DELTA. Since they know they couldnt make it, they could lose 16-0 on purpose to FX, so FX get 2nd. This has happened a long time with 2 American teams. 1 team lost to the other 30-0 on purpose... so the other would make it through. Also, in this tournament, TAO didnt even play their last match, they just forfeit 16-0. SO it had to be done this way.

It has always been this way for some reason for Finnish teams where lurppis has been leading on inferno and d2. Naturally it's very easy to shout armchair analysis from here but imo you can't just give away the map as a ct for the t's to play around, you have to be a bit agressive somewhere, or have supergood flashes to retake sites if you choose to concentrate on one. They can't do either atm but hopefully they'll be able to think about it in the next tournaments

This was pretty expected although tuscan was very close and roccat had a chance to take that map. But fx is definitely a top3 team even considering their small struggles lately online as they've placed in the top3 in all tournaments this year

Well, FX is a strong team, but I think paistit will become one of the best, lurppis is a really good ingame, saw him do amazing calls vs FX now but they got a rly bad start, anyhow, paistit will show every1 how good they are, eventuelly :D

+1 I was really pleased with their performance they still got some areas they have to focus on to improve but eventually this team should have amazing opportunities to show others how devastating they can be!
