It's obvious. Smaller hitboxes, 13 years of history and experience for players, wallbanging. You just need a lot more skill to be the best in CS 1.6. A LOT more. For crying out loud, I once made a CS:S team and we were doing decent results against the best in europe after 1-2 months playing the game... depends on the map, SK will probably lose easily on inferno seeing as its literally the same as CSS Nuke will also be tough because ramps is the same as CSS and nades dont work the same way as 1.6 so all their nade execute strats on topsite wont work where as the danes will know how to execute on top given the nades probably win D2 off aim alone and train is anyones game seeing as its completely different to both.

I've played both, even tho the movement and the recoil have changed from CS:S the weapons are the same, the deagle is op, the autosnipers are too accurate too because they are ports and valve has not changed a thing about that.

no point, i'm just responding to the ridiculous amount of bias and closed mindedness when it comes to 1.6 on here. in my honest opinion (and i do play both), 1.6 and source are pretty different, it's not easy to transfer from one to the other in either direction, and most importantly (having also played cs:go), cs:go is nothing like 1.6 or css in the slightest, it literally has nothing in common with either. however neutral opinions just don't exist on this website, it's all "1.6 so pro, css so shit", "an average 1.6 player is like a high+++ css player", "cs:go is just a copy of css, css players have huge advantage" and plenty more idiotic statements

I do have a lot of experience on 1.6 and also played CSS in the past for a year, I do like CSS. The point is, just by watching the game you can say from who this game has inherited it's game style, and ofcourse it's from source, the map is widely open, in dust2 is more easier to play on CT then in T. The aim is a bit of source (which is not that good on spray) plus some smoking weed from valve, they just fucked the game aim. So who can have more advantage on this game ?! BINNGOO Source players or players who play both games....

neither anexis or xapso are anywhere close to top. i don't think xapso has ever even played a decent lan tournament and anexis never makes any damage against top teams. don't be a hater :) source is a nice game too with talented players, i prefer 1.6

i feel you man, 1.6 is a cult to so many ppl here. they are very sensitive to any "threat" to their beloved game and their idol players. i've loved the game since the beta times from ~10 years ago. never really liked the community though... but after all this is a 1.6 website :s what do you expect hehe.

yeh i know, but i've mainly spent time on a css website (that i shall not name, hmm i wonder), but yeh, i've never actively hated 1.6 just because i play source and immerse myself within a css community, i really like both games in fact, and different aspects about both. I played 1.6 from 2000 to 2005, source since then, but i still play 1.6 for casual mixing and fun, and i've never actively tried to downplay 1.6 or it's pros/players and claim that source is better (or a harder game), or visa versa in favour of 1.6, well until i came onto this website, then the stupidity just gets the better of me and i turn into a css promoting knob ^^
