I could understand it if it was a bo1, like north lost a bo1 to HR, 1 map lose shouldnt be enough to determinate a map advantage in the grand final. But they lost a bo3, in the upper bracket final. It would be 100% fair for HR to have a map advantage in the finals.

I prefer the veto advantage instead of map advantage. And you also get the advantage to be well rested. I think map advantage just makes for a boring final most of the time, veto advantage however is a smaller advantage but if you play your cards right you can gain a lot from it.

I think what youre failing to understand is that every team got a second chance by going the lower bracket besides HR, since they haven't lost yet every team essentially had 2 lives in the tourney . The pick before vetoes definitely helps but it isn't equal to a second chance after losing a bo3.

Don't try to teach me anything about understanding, I know perfectly fine what you're saying, and I disagree. I've seen way to many boring finals that had the potential to be great without the map advantage. You see, HR got more rest, had to play less games, got to pick fucking cache against North and that map actually turned out to be great but that's a huge advantage nonetheless, and we had a great final. Map advantages are just not enjoyable to me, because I don't think it's an issue having a lower bracket. Either way I don't enjoy lower / upper brackets in playoffs, but here we had that and the final turned out to be great. Without the veto advantage this might've turned out to be a 2-0 for North, or with a map advantage to HR in a BO5 a boring 3-0 or 3-1. It's just my opinon and you can have your own, I won't say that it's wrong, but I'll disagree. I want to watch the best possible CS while at the same time the team who has delivered in a lower / upper bracket playoffs has a slight advantage. Map advantages doesn't do that, veto advantages does.

Every small french LAN has that 1-0 advantage in BO3 for the final for the winner's bracket winning team. Here it's a "big" tourney so the way to go is BO5 with one map advantage.

3 mistakes in a matter of 25 seconds from North right there. Kjaerbye challenging banana with 35 hp, he could've easily just held a headshot angle and peeked for information. And in the quick second there was a 2 v 1, there was no crossfire from North either and the tradefrag came in from ISSA. And obviously Valde got quite unlucky in the final duel, can't do much about that. Still, a few mistakes in a matter of seconds and HR win a round they really shouldn't have won. One thing I like from HellRaisers, even though their T-side has been kinda weak, is how often they've been lurking/pressuring arch & CT spawn. Kinda wish those sky boxes were open from brackets/haystack, or there were ways to be more creative in taking that portion of the map... Even though that didn't really happen on oldferno.

I'm very happy for ISAA and woxic. bondik time in China transformed him on a star, the one everybody can expect to win a 1v4 or 1v5, because in China he was waaay more skilled than everybody else. Then he come back to Europe, but he still has signs of that star, he really become a better, more clutchy player than he ever was.

MSL... Never seen a player with such low impact (add the poor calling to that) lose his team so many rounds. He was involved in Bondiks first 1 v 3 with the shitty boost, and didn't wait for Aizy to be able to trade. He lost the 1 v 4 in the next round to bondik (which would've reset HR to 1400 dollars) by peeking wrap side when Aizy wasn't ready to double peek for a guaranteed frag. I mean call it hate if you want, but I'm not trying to hate, I'm calling out facts. Their T side was hopeless, a bunch of B rushes with poor trades basically. And Mertz also died way to much by whiffing shots, but he at least had some impact and wasn't the guy to lose them those important rounds. North's only chance at a decent event for the coming 6 months or something just went past, gg nontheless. Congratz to HR, DOING WORK! GREAT JOB BY THE GUYS, Incredibly deserved trophy in the end.
