Cph Wolves bring in wantz

Copenhagen Wolves have announced via their official website that they have picked up Bo "wantz" Vestergaard.

The Danish team were created in January with some of the hottest talents the country had produced in CS:Source, but their first tournament ended in disappointment as they fell short against the former Anexis side in the grand final of HKLAN.

Wolves have now decided to shake things up a little bit with a view to hitting top form at Copenhagen Games later this month by bringing in Bo "wantz" Vestergaard, who will reunite with three of the players of the CKRAS team who finished runners-up to VeryGames at ESWC 2011.

Vestergaard will fill the void left by Nicolai "device" Reedtz, who has been released from the team after failing to show up to a number of practice matches.

"As people who followed our time in Wolves during final era of Source know, back then we had some issues with device's ability to show up for practice regularly," Steffen "3k2" Markussen told Wolves' website.

"Lately we have had some rather unpleasant flashbacks to this behaviour and even though Nicolai has been playing really well for us, we are simply not willing to take risks regarding this matter, especially not when we have as great a player and friend as Bo ready to step into the team."

The announcement of Vestergaard's addition comes just one day after the Danish organisation signed a sponsorship deal with Adidas.

Wolves will attend Copenhagen Games later this month with:

Denmark Henrik "FeTiSh" Christensen
Denmark Rene "cajunb" Borg
Denmark Steffen "3k2" Markussen
Denmark Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen
Denmark
Bo "wantz" Vestergaard

For people coming from a 1.6 background, Wantz was one of the best aimera and brain from CS:S. Coupled with his ability to be completely unpredictable in game he was not only an incredibly talented fragger but also really fun to spectate.

Not to mention his movement. I seem to remember a quote from one of his teammates saying that he literally never saw him make a miss jump/bad step. He could dive around on train on the ladders and strafe-jumping between them like no one else supposedly.

Yeah, he was so crisp with his bunnyhopping and movement in general. Literally the king of it, and it's what made him so spontaneous and unpredicatable in game.

One of the best aimers yes, brains? Not so much. He was not known for his smart plays, but rather his insane ability to come out on top of sticky situations using his aim and by being unpredictable as hell

Being unpredictable and always keeping his enemies on their toes, as well as being able to come out of top of those situations you say, indicates someone with a very good knowledge of the game imo.

Fetish was one of the best IGL's in CS:S - top 3. with ex6tenz. 3k2 are playing like a sub-IGL/Support as far as I know and they are normally a deadly combo.

but their first tournament ended in disappointment as they fell short against the former Anexis side in the grand final of HKLAN. - Disappointment? They barely had 150 hours, they did not pracc alot and was together for less than a month, and stomped the rest of the Danish top.

Don't know if they "stomped" the top. Fnatic won 2-0 in upper and lost to them 0-1 later on if i recall correctly.
