VG, Anexis, more at ESH Birmingham

Esports Heaven has announced the first batch of teams who will be in attendance at the event in Birmingham.

The British event will run from April 5th to 7th at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham, as part of the Gadget Show Live, a major technology and consumer expo.

A total of £10,000 (approximately €11,500) will be given out in the CS:GO tournament, which will feature just 10 teams, six fewer than the Mad Catz event in Vienna last month.

Since ESH Birmingham will fall on the same dates as the SLTV StarSeries finals, teams like Ninjas in Pyjamas and Natus Vincere will not be able to attend the British event if they finish in the top four in the league.

However, a provisional participants' list released earlier on Monday showed that this will be an event to follow, as VeryGames will be looking for their first trophy abroad since switching to CS:GO.

Anexis and k1ck, both of whom have qualified for the RaidCall EMS One group stage, will also be in attendance, just like Joshua "steel" Nissan's Dignitas and George "Zed" Bear's Reason Gaming.

The last team of the six teams who were confirmed today is fm-eSports TOXiC, who have performed well online since adding Danni "smF" Dyg and Søren "socN" Falke.

The provisional participants' list for the British event looks as follows:

France VeryGames Europe fm-eSports TOXiC
Portugal k1ck United Kingdom Reason Gaming
United Kingdom Anexis United Kingdom Dignitas

Meanwhile, it has been announced that just like the event in Vienna, the one in Birmingham will be sponsored by Mad Catz.

I wouldnt land 4k in the same category as Na'vi, SK, Fnatic and NiP and Golden Five if you want to count then in despite not being under 1 organisation.

Well, in terms of eSport as a whole, 4Kings got a legacy among the finest in a hall of fame. In CS they didnt put up any extraordinary results in comparison to those you mentioned, true. But in my book legends of CS anyday, as they were up there fighting on the greatest "pioneer" stages, nothing can change that. Its all history and long gone, yeah.. but never forgotten.

Heaven Media are a media agency and event management group which owns Tek-9, HardwareHeaven, DriverHeaven, Cadred and EsportsHeaven. The major people aren't from Cadred. I just love how when something goes wrong or something people don't agree with happens HM = Cadred. But when they do something right and something that's beneficial to the community HM = NOT CADRED.

would be good to see UK teams all performing well on LAN and getting some recognition. the big orgs are represented, except 4kings for the time being so at least that's something if any UK team does well, the community should give them some credit and so should their rival UK teams instead of the usual bitch fest and whining OI/Anexis on LAN should be good. Toxic too. Not seen much of Reason and Dig yet... haven't seen many officials on hltv? gl all :)
