Delpan, FYRR73 in Cph Games mix

A new mix team have been created to participate at Copenhagen Games with players like Emil "FYRR73" Karlsson and Marcus "Delpan" Larsson, HLTV.org has learned.

Larsson has been out of action since the disbandment of SK Gaming's Counter-Strike division back in July, and though he has been streaming some CS:GO matches, he has not yet committed himself to any project.

Karlsson, on the other hand, has been inactive since November, when he was replaced by Dennis "Rytter" Rytter in fnatic shortly after the team's transition to CS:GO.

The Swedish duo have now decided to attend Copenhagen Games with other former 1.6 players in an all-Scandinavian mix called Alchemists.

Delpan to play first CS:GO tournament

Joining them will be John "hyvlarn" Edelsvärd - whose only CS:GO project to date came in the form of Prospects, who later became Absolute Legends - and Gunnar "zEn" Eng, who were curiously last seen competing on an international level at Copenhagen Games last year with Alchemists, who crashed out of the tournament in the group stage.

The last player to join Alchemists is the one who has picked up the biggest amount of experience in CS:GO: Alexander "rdl" Redl, who is currently a free agent following the disbandment of Absolute Legends.

"I spoke with hyvlaren, who had talked to FYRR73, then Delpan signed up and so on, and rdl came in last," Eng told HLTV.org.

"Everyone is playing CS:GO now so it is going to be fun to be at Copenhagen Games and try things out in a real tournament. We will practice intensively for a week.

"We want to go past the group stage and get to the playoffs. We will take it one game at a time. We will have to study our opponents to have some sort of chance against the best teams.

"We would like to thank QPAD for the support they will give us."

Since Alchemists failed to apply for an invite to Copenhagen Games' main CS:GO tournament, the team will have to take part in the qualifier, which will be played on March 28th.

Alchemists will attend the Danish event next week with:

Marcus "Delpan" Larsson
Emil "FYRR73" Karlsson
John "hyvlarn" Edelsvärd
Alexander "rdl" Redl
Gunnar "zEn" Eng

Are you okay? 1) He "left" fnatic because he has no time to play on pro lvl, it was said by fnatic members. It doesnt take so much time to play one mix cup. 2) I am not sure he left, prolly he was kicked.

CPH games will decide a lot in terms of the top teams lineups, if NiP wins/loses there will be changes and my bet is that fifflaren doesn't have much more time as a NiP player.

It's not just about the individual skill, its about the team chemistry, and Fifflaren have been improving really amazing, and i can almost guarantee that no one will be replaced in NiP even tho if they dont win CPH. It's healthy for teams to lose aswell, and you see NiP losing some online matches in Starseries, and many teams are getting alot more even with them, so if they lose i think that will just improve them rather then "disimprove" (didn't figure out the correct word atm)

He clutched a few really important rounds that probably won nip the game and he was fragging well the rest of the time... he's getting better and I dont see nip making any changes if they dont top cph games... it'll be the first lan theyve lost in the game, why would they change after one loss...

The fact that they are going to arguably the most anticipated LAN of the year with a mix team should tell you enough about their expectations. They are CS legends, if for example SpawN or potti decided to go play there I highly doubt they'd even think about actually winning something. Get my point?
