Copenhagen Games viewer's guide

As Copenhagen Games are closing in, starting on Thursday, March 28th, we bring you the viewer's guide for both male and female tournaments, which will hand out a staggering prize of €40,000 in total.

Taking place at the Øksnehallen exhibition centre, Copenhagen Games is one of the most loaded events. As it is hosting eight different tournaments in six different games, the schedule for the whole event is filled up with information.

Our concern are the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournaments only and for the first time after ESWC 2012, there will be both a male and a female tournament running.

hiko & co have a chance to prove themselves once again

The Komplett intel CSGO tournament starts on Thursday with a qualifier for teams who did not receive an invitation. The team list for the qualifier includes teams like ESC Gaming, Lemondogs, Quantic Gaming and Epsilon.

The schedule for the male and female CS:GO tournaments is the following:

Thursday (March 28th)

14:00  Male qualifier starts
20:00 Male qualifier finals

Friday (March 29th)

10:00  Male tournament starts
10:00  Female tournament starts
22:00 Male play-offs begin
00:00 Female tournament - last group match

Saturday (March 30th)

10:00  Female play-offs begin
10:00  Male play-offs continue
18:00  Female grand final on stage
23:00 Male grand final on stage

Tune in to HLTV.org in the coming days as two of our members will be on site providing you with our all-around coverage as always, including GOTVs for every match of both tournaments.

We have also opened the market for our Dreamteam game so make sure to create your team in time for the tournament's kick off on Friday at 10:00 .

If it's like last year it was like this: top2 from group goes into a 32team tourney where 16 will qualify for the main tournament. And I think it's bo3 all the way.

So like 2 group stages for the qualifier? 16 groups; 2 advance. Then 8 groups and 2 advance from every group to the main tournament?

50k might be too much to expect considering CS:GO has approx 25-30k players at peak.

not a true there was a 130-140K most of the time. I saw 150k+ in flash games. And after MLG blizzard reported in article on battlenet that ther was 157K peak. And i guess that theyve had pretty accurate numbers. us.blizzard.com/en-us/company/press/pres..

too bad its byoc...other than that the tourny is looking amazing. I just think that for a lan all players should be playing on same comps/monitors, only cuz not all players have the luxury of playing with top of the line comps...even tho they are considered 'pros'
