Video: Interview with Neo

After ESC Gaming's early elimination at Copenhagen Games, we sat down with Filip "Neo" Kubski and discussed with him the team's performances in Denmark.

The Polish giants bowed out of the tournament with a disappointing 13th-16th place after losing to Epsilon 16-14 in the Lower Bracket, to which they had been sent following a 2-0 defeat to Virtus.pro in the Round of 32.

It was yet another disappointing campaign for ESC, who had also failed to impress at TECHLABS last weekend, and things do not look promising for them ahead of the SLTV StarSeries finals and the RaidCall EMS One finals.

The interview with Kubski touches on ESC's campaign at Copenhagen Games, the upcoming events, and also the differences in his own playing style between 1.6 and CS:GO, among other topics.

He looks really confused. They should talk 2-3 days about every single map and match they lost, reset everything and try to play more casual Imo.

he doesnt want to say what he thinks out in the public and its understandable, ofc he thinks that in 1.6 they were a lot more sucessful because he could put in the big numbers and in cs:go he cant therefore theres a huge skill gap between ESC and other top teams(top 10 teams even)

He seems very sad honestly, and I think the problems they have in the team are not to be taken lightly. They may reach the end of their game there, if they don't figure things out quickly.

Its more of confidence thing, if you have seen close enough, when they loose some rounds, they eventually start spraying and they loose again.. But some +ve aspect is, in this tourny every players played some good rounds...

I am not sure, why he is not sure about they are loosing.. atm I can see very simple and repetitive mistakes out there.. Like 1)for these days Taz/Neo is killer machine for near distance, where Kuben is in long distance(he can shoot many bullets with very low damage), so why dont they place there positions with same thing..IMO I am not sure whats with PAsha and Loord, sometimes they aim well, but often they just spray down like cs 1.6 and they die..... 2) Also they move much while aiming, while spraying tooo.... Its like when they start shooting you are certain whos goona win, means its like You can see it through. 3) they spray down to bottom,,,atm you VP/NIP they just spray till chest... I am sure it is practice thing, but still If you know it is not gonna work out lets aim for some time.. 4) This is something for CT side.. they usually try to be at some place, where other teams often have good aim,, For example: In inferno while rescuing B side, they walk from behind, and its obvs that other player is waiting for it, why dont just run, it well ruin enemy aim. Second example: Neo did for 7th round in trains it was first round ESC lost. 5) Too bad pistol... so many times 2v1 situation and both ESC dies,,why? because they both does same thing they try to move left, right and try to shoot head, why not one stay plain and try and let other ruin enemy aim. 6) I am unable to see any starts out there, its like Even Kuben has no idea what to do..? Its all my opinion. #PEACE

It all pans down to them getting old and maybe starting to think about what they want to do in the future, even though theyre not talking openly about it. Leads to fights within the teams and loss of motivation...Hurts to say this but I think that ESC will fold in the coming months and that most of them, if not all, will retire...

Neo is a great player and he is motivated but I cant say the same about his teammates. Looks like all the rest plays just cause they are friends and they don't want to break Neo's heart. I think some of them must to leave pro gaming. Maybe I'm wrong but that's how it looks for me.
