Virtus.pro, LDLC join DHS list

The DreamHack organisers have announced that LDLC.com and Virtus.pro have been invited to take part in this year's Summer event.

DreamHack Summer will run from June 15th to 18th in the city of Jönköping, with 16 teams in contention in the €23,500 CS:GO tournament.

Seven of these 16 participants will be directly invited by the organisation, while the remaining teams will come from various online and LAN tournaments that are organised in several European countries.

It has now been announced that the last two invites will go to Russia-based side Virtus.pro and French team LDLC.com. This will be the first LAN tournament for Kenny "kennyS" Schrub and Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács since joining their respective new teams.

DH Summer will be GuardiaN's first event with Virtus.pro

This also means that VeryGames will most likely skip the Swedish event. HLTV.org knows that some of the team's players have exams coming up, so it is possible that they may decide against attending the event.

Below you can find the participants' list for DH Summer as it stands now:

1. Sweden Ninjas in Pyjamas
2. United States Curse
3. Poland ESC Gaming
4. Denmark fnatic
5. Denmark Copenhagen Wolves
6. Germany /10/ - TECHLABS Minsk
7. Russia Virtus.pro
8. France LDLC.com

ESC needs to win big international gold at least one more time this year, I love those guys :> I do not deem it likely but Id love to see it. preferably a bo3 against NiP in the final where they take 2nd overtime on the third map xD we will see epic screaming taz and gtr x>

ESC were good because Neo was great. I am not saying the rest of them were bad, but Neo managed to give them that little extra they needed in most matches. In CS:GO Neo is ok compared to what he was in 1.6.

I guess they will pick the two teams from the EMS based on the two highest ranking teams who don't already have an invite which at the moment would be Navi and Verygames en.csgo.raidcall-emsone.com/. If Verygames aren't able to attend then it would between Alternate, Absolute Legends or n!faculty for the last spot, the final EMS cup tomorrow should decide which one of those three it will be. From the Fnatic Fragout league the only two teams of the six who have reached the playoffs and don't already have a place at Dreamhack are Epsilon and Anexis. So what ever team can get the furthest in the playoffs will get that final pre-lan qualification place.

i think you forget that there is other option for Epsilon. If they not manage to get the qualification. They can go on BYOC. I think this should be Epsilon`s plan afaik. But who knows what will bring the future for them.

Didn't include any of the two potential byoc spots, although if they get the spot through the fnatic league which is a possibility if anexis lose their playoff game versus fnatic then they won't need to attend the byoc.

this is true. if only one NA team secures an invite though, I think we would all put our faith in Curse at the moment. Quantic has been struggling with practice time due to n0thing not being as available as the other members on various nights of the week.
